Been past this place loads of times on the way to visit family and said we'd try it sometime.. finally tried it and so glad we did.

Lovely cosy little pub quite busy with regulars good selection of food on the menu and all home made

I had pork with stilton and caramelised apple sauce . Pork was cooked nicely, wasn't tough or chewy and the sauce complimented it nicely.

My partner had cheese and onion pie which I had a taste of and can safely say it's one of the best home made pies I've had since my grans it was lovely.

Staff were friendly and professional offering good suggestions

So glad we stopped off and will be back again for more pie

These are "small plates for lighter eaters". Plus a drink each, Bill was £21:95! Great value for money, good quality, Bargain! Steak in a Pot with home cut chips and vegetables, and Lasagne accompanied by home cut chips and a side salad. Very tasty and plenty on the plate. You will not be disappointed if you eat here. Will return without a shadow of doubt.

Simple some of the best "pub" food I can remember ever having, top that off with a great section of beers and your onto a winner

Friendly and welcoming service by Dan and colleagues. A good sized menu with plenty of choice and various portion sizes at reasonable prices.

Really good pup food you can tell it’s all home made very tasty and very good portion size very fair prices.

Now I like a good burger and I have had some bloody good ones, but today I went to the Black Bull and had the most amazing burger I can remember having stick on to of that some hand cut "proper" chips and you have winner. Great selection of beer as well as super friendly and efficient staff I know I'll be going back for sure, if your in the area treat yourself your belly will thank you.

Oh and dog friendly aswell!

Great tradional pub.

Called in on Friday afternoon/evening for a few and glad we did. Its a pub like pubs used to be, full of character and friendly locals and bar staff. The Guinness was spot on. We didn't eat but the food looked and smelled excellent. We will definitely be calling in next time we are in the area

The bar staff gave us a lovely warm welcome on arrival and we enjoyed a fabulous lunch. This pub has a homely feel and we will certainly be coming back for more. We'll done everyone! ????Xx
