I don't typically write reviews, but if you have the means to avoid this place, definitely avoid it. Terrible customer service, marked up prices (found all the items I purchased on Amazon for cheaper), and poor selection. I came here to buy products for a new hair endeavor, but decided against it and re-did my usual braids. I ended up not using any of the products and came back to return them as they were no longer needed.

I came back within the 14-day return window, and they would not accept my items. They accused me of opening and using all of them - even though I had not touched the products since the day I bought them. I brought them back in the exact condition that I purchased them along with the original receipt, and they refused to refund me. They almost gaslit me into thinking that I had used them and forgotten, but I bought these products for a wig I did not end up purchasing! So I am definitely sure that I did not use them... Shocked and confused, I decided to check the items on the shelves and saw a few products that had broken seals just like mine. I told them this, and they still would not accept my items.

I simply left the items there because I had no use for them, and I will happily take my business elsewhere in the future. I am sure they put the items right back on the shelf, and as a warning to future customers (if you unfortunately decide to come here), please make sure that the items you are buying are actually new so you are not scammed like I was. However, I strongly urge you to go elsewhere!

Watched the owner and someone else who works in the store choke a black woman who claimed she was pregnant because they thought she was stealing from the store. I didn't write this review until several months later because I didn't know if it would be seen, but here I am now.

DO NOT SHOP HERE. I recommend Mercy Beauty.This establishment decided to attack a black woman(who was pregnant and possibly a minor). It was 3 men against her and they were choking her while holding her hands behind her back. Regardless if she stole something or not, this is not the manner you handle those situations.

I went into the store at 730..i shopped around to see what I wanted. They close at 8pm. I was rushed while he said over and over "Waiting for you" by 7:50pm. By a young Hispanic guy. He was rude. I end up leaving empty handed and unsatisfied. I would not recommend this beauty suppy store to anyone. Horrible service

I called this place TWICE to confirm the time of closing. I spent over $40 on an Uber only to arrive to locked doors and a sign in the window that said they closed at 7:50 even though the window sign said 8 pm.

TERRIBLE PLACE!! Racist!! and the owner and employees WILL assault you for no reason ????. They steal from YOU, the customer. They do not care about anything. They need to be shut down ! Absolutely DO NOT go here. Go elsewhere so you can get what you pay for and still leave with your life.

Beauty Island is a very lovely beauty supply store! They always have everything well stocked! They sell hair,accessories,brushes,combs,products to help you maintain your hair! They have sunglasses,jewelry,face mask ????, blistex,lip gloss,etc.....basically if your looking for hair,bandana,hair products, etc...you will definitely find everything in

I love Beauty Island. I've been coming here for years and have always had good experiences. The location and hours are extremely convenient, and the store is generally well stocked and well kept. I can usually find whatever I'm looking for there and they do an awesome job of keeping up with the trendier styles while keeping a balance of BSS oldies but goodies. The staff are nice and will answer any questions as best as they can. The pricing is also pretty decent and is usually in line with whatever the item costs online. I do wish that the staff were more knowledgeable about the products though. They will try to help you, but often don't know many details about the stock, so I just end up having to research before coming or while in the store, which makes the trip twice as long as I expected. And they have such a huge selection that if you don't know what you're looking for, it can be overwhelming and take forever to make a choice. Training the staff better on the products would save time and make for a better customer experience because they would be able to give more informed recommendations, but even so, I still definitely recommend Beauty Island. It's a great classic beauty supply store and I love coming here.
