The only place I'll EVER get my haircut! Kate has been cutting my hair and beard for years now. I'm so glad she got an the opportunity to open a shop of her own. If you haven't been here well you should. Excellent service every time!

I was excited about getting my haircut here. I always try to support local businesses, and I’ve always loved looking at the different decor throughout the year. You can tell the staff really puts pride into how they present themselves and their shop- which is why this came as such a surprise. As I was walking up to the door, I noticed a flag hanging on a recessed door in the shop. It’s an American/confederate battle flag with the don’t tread on me snake on top. I was baffled why a shop in the North would proudly fly a confederate battle flag, especially as I assumed everyone now knows how that can affect people. That flag means one thing and one thing only- fighting for slavery and oppression. Incredibly disappointing that an establishment in Washington would think that is appropriate to display in their business.

Barberella's is my favorite shop!! I will no longer go to the franchise barbershops or others. The owner Dawn is awesome! She's very professional and knows what to do, even if you're not quite sure what style cut to explain.

Her shop is very cool, with a unique, vintage but updated look. Highly recommend!

Super awesome experience! Totally randomly stopped to get my 19month son a haircut that was long overdue and she was absolutely wonderful! There was 2 customers ahead of us and she was personal, professional and attentive to everyone at the right time! She had the most perfect decor and music! And my sons haircut looks great!

I could not have been happier. Kate was friendly and happy to listen to my ramblings. I once received a haircut while traveling in Europe that I was very happy with and this is the first haircut I had received that lived up to that experience locally. She advised on what she thought would be best based on my hair and myself.
