Good quality fish and reasonable portions, cooked fresh and local.

Best fish and chips on the high Street but never have the smaller size of haddock so its then becomes an expensive meal.

No regular haddock available today. Chips very dry & only warm, lots of bits. Web site says closed but found to be open. Wrb site desperately needs to be updated.

I always feel a bit guilty giving a place a less than perfect review, particularly in these (nearly) post pandemic times, but we were a little disappointed in our fish and chips. The fish was quite greasy and the chips (we had one portion between two as we'd heard you get huge portions) turned out to be barely enough for two (but perhaps that's our problem). It seemed a little chaotic in there and the staff gave the impression of being inexperienced. The till had broken (not their fault), but it seemed to throw them off kilter. Overall, just an OK experience, not the 'great' we had been led to believe

Excellent scampi (possibly the best!) and cod (loads of flavour), quick and friendly service. Happy customers and bellies!
