Totally dissatisfied- food very disappointing
Grease, dried out sausage, fritters and chips soggy and fish very expensive and of the same calibre- slimy - I remember when this chip shop was the best around but now it’s just totally over priced and substandard food..
Called to complain and the owner/ manager supposed to get in touch - STILL waiting - will not be back - would totally suggest forget here!!
The food is superb, the special fish is particularly excellent.
Staff are always pleasant & it's well organised regards Covid.
A shame their sit-in section is closed as that's a great option.
got a jumbo special supper , and although the food was tasty, it was far too cold, even though it was cooked to order... Fryers and heaters need to have the temperatures turned up, was disappointed
Fish tea amongst the best I have ever tasted. Pleasant , efficient staff. Good prices. Lovely surroundings. Ideal.

What a fabulous chippy, I didn’t sit in but the cafe looks spacious, very well laid out and clean. Plenty of staff and courteous too.
The fish was amazing and the chips were perfect to me.
Highly recommend if your in the area or fancy a travel for a decent scran.. ????????????
We were recommended Alhambra Cafe by the hotel we were staying in as we were looking for a good haggis supper and fish supper. We were not disappointed and the food far exceeded our expectations. My husband loved his haggis and my special fish was, without a doubt, the best chip shop fish I've ever eaten. The chips were fantastic too. To top it all off, the staff in there are so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be returning on our next visit to the area.
