Wanted to try some Arabic coffee and popped in....
Came out with a pack of Syrian Coffee with Cardamom, large bag of just Gathia (the spaghetti looking ones in Bombay mix) and a box of posh Turkish Delight. Could have easily brought 20 times as much with the massive choice of middle Eastern and Asian foods and spices.
Well worth a visit if you want to get authentic ingredients, food and tastes.
Good range of Asian foods not available in supermarkets. Reasonable prices and plenty of stock. Spices sold in larger packets than you can buy in small supermarket jars. Good freezer section where you can buy frozen Okra (Bhindi) also stock some fresh vegetables you never see in the supermarkets. Debit and Credit cards accepted. Also Halal meat counter for non vegetarians.
It is definitely very very convenient for people of Asian and Mediterranean region. Many spices and food items which are very essential for Asian and Mediterranean are available here and not available in any other normal stores of England.
There are so many Asian products can be found here, but their service is not good. Specially butcher, he is rude and not honest in measurement of meat.
Measure meat again before making payment.
Opened a little late on Sunday, but with the wait. Extremely well stocked with spices and staples for curry and more.
Only place in Bangor to get Halal meat (unfrozen). You can find Asian species and other Asian (Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Indian etc) foods
Very well stocked, next time I'm going to take my shopping trolley
The people are not friendly especially the butcher. He is rude and not helpful at all. Beside that the chicken quality is not good. Part of the problem is that there is no other near halal shop.

Al Baraka Foods Ltd has several strengths that contribute to its popularity among customers. One strength is the wide range of Middle Eastern and Asian foods and spices available. Customers appreciate the vast selection, which allows them to find authentic ingredients and flavors that are not commonly found in supermarkets. This variety also gives customers the opportunity to experiment with different cuisines and try new products.
Additionally, Al Baraka Foods Ltd offers reasonable prices and ample stock. Many customers mention that the store sells spices in larger packets than what can be found in small supermarket jars. This is convenient for those who frequently use a particular spice and want to buy it in bulk. The store also has a good freezer section, where customers can purchase frozen items like Okra (Bhindi). Some fresh vegetables that are not typically found in supermarkets are also available, adding to the convenience and appeal of the store.
Another strength of Al Baraka Foods Ltd is that it accepts both debit and credit cards. This makes it convenient for customers who prefer to pay with plastic rather than cash. Furthermore, the store has a dedicated Halal meat counter, catering to the needs of non-vegetarian customers. Being the only place in Bangor to offer unfrozen Halal meat adds to the uniqueness of the store and attracts a specific customer base.
The convenience factor of Al Baraka Foods Ltd is a significant strength. Many customers mention that it is very convenient for people of Asian and Mediterranean regions, as it provides essential ingredients and products not available in other stores in England. This convenience factor, coupled with the wide range of products, makes Al Baraka Foods Ltd a go-to store for those seeking specific items from these regions.
Despite these strengths, there are a few weaknesses that should be addressed by Al Baraka Foods Ltd. One recurring negative comment is about the poor customer service, specifically regarding the butcher's behavior. Several customers mention that the butcher is rude and unhelpful, which affects their overall shopping experience. It is important for the store to address this issue by providing proper training to staff members and emphasizing the importance of friendly and helpful customer service.
Another weakness mentioned by customers is the quality of the chicken. Several customers mention that the chicken quality is not good, which can be a significant concern for those who rely on this store for their Halal meat needs. It is crucial for the store to ensure the quality and freshness of their products, especially in the meat section, to maintain customer satisfaction.
Lastly, some customers mention that the store opens a little late on Sundays. While this might not be a significant issue for most customers, it is worth considering adjusting store hours to accommodate those who prefer to do their shopping earlier in the day.
In conclusion, Al Baraka Foods Ltd has several strengths that make it a popular choice among customers. Its wide range of Middle Eastern and Asian foods, reasonable prices, ample stock, and convenient payment options are all assets to the store. However, the store should address the issues of poor customer service, chicken quality, and store hours to improve the overall customer experience. By doing so, Al Baraka Foods Ltd can further solidify its position as a go-to store for authentic ingredients, foods, and tastes.
