This was one of the best manicures I’ve ever had! I came in as a walk in and May, the owner, took me right away for a refill on my set of acrylics.
She was really nice and gave me advice on the shape, etc. and helped fix a pretty poor job done by another salon. But the best part was her attention to detail. She really took her time and made sure my manicure was perfect, every step of the way. And I absolutely loved my new nails. She worked off a picture that I showed and did a really nice, unique design. I don’t live in the area but if I did, I’d be back! I will say, it is a little expensive, but I’d rather pay for quality services done with care and a friendly face.
Honestly. Pretty disappointed. I was in less than 24 hours ago for a dip manicure. 60 dollars after tip and today, I already have chips in two nails. They were wonderful, no complaints on the people, they were very nice. However, paying 60 dollars I would have expected to get more than 24 hours from a dip manicure. I woke up this morning with the crack in the thumb. And this evening I see the crack in my pointer finger. I will say, even upon leaving I noticed a very blotchy look that you shouldn't get drip a dip manicure so, I did expect to not have an overwhelmingly positive experience but, to have the nails looks like this less than 24 hours later is beyond disappointing.
My first time at this salon and it did not disappoint! May and Blanca were wonderful and did a great French manicure + were very friendly. Close to grove street path. They also give complimentary wine and take card for services and tip. They take appointments via text if needed. I would definitely recommend for gel manicures.
I wanted to wait to see if my manicure lasted before posting this review and I'm very happy with the services I had a couple of weeks ago. My regular Mani and Pedi look wonderful, the staff is super sweet and welcoming, and the salon is spotless. I will definitely be coming back!
They do good work but I won’t be back here. My friend and I were seated next to each other for hard gel manicures and were chatting. Our conversation was repeatedly interrupted throughout the appointment by the person working on me. She kept interrupting to berate me for not coming in earlier to get my nails filled and for ‘shaking’ while my friend and I talked. It was quiet in the salon aside from us and I felt embarrassed and disrespected every time she did it, especially since she was criticizing me quite loudly. I felt too uncomfortable by that experience to return, especially since there are other more relaxing salons in the area.
This is my second time to do my manicure here. I’m satisfied with their service and my nail design. Such a cute nail salon! I love surrounding by plants and flowers. Very friendly staff, nice environment and reasonable price! Some colors will be charged more, but they will let you know in advance. Also clean and neat here. Ran by Korean. Sometimes no one answers the phone call, so you’d better make an appointment with them at Yelp at weekends and you can just walk in at weekdays. I hope they will have lash extension service soon.
Absolutely horrible to be bluntly honest. They take every customer who walks in and make people with appointments wait constantly. Making an appointment means nothing. The worst experience especially was today. After waiting 2 HOURS and having my nails completely “finished”, the nail tech called over another girl to fix the chrome nails she attempted. After the second woman realized they were unfixable, she began soaking my nails to take them ALL off, then preceded back to her customer. After leaving me sitting there with no one, I asked how much longer it would take given there was no one available and i had already been there for 2 hours to which i was told to come back tomorrow or wait for them to finish all of the customers that were waiting. DO NOT GO HERE.
So happy I stumbled upon this beautiful nail shop! I just moved to New York and have been struggling for the past two months to find a nail salon that can deliver like they did today at A1 Nails. Absolutely flawless and precise work with dedicated attention to detail. I’m a stickler about my French tip and the nail tech did an amazing job. The salon is beautiful, fresh and clean. The employees are extremely friendly and candid about prices upfront so there’s no surprises. I believe it was the owner who was nice enough to give me a $10 discount to remove nails I had done elsewhere which was really sweet and unexpected. I had acrylic nail removal and a gel manicure which was all done in about 1.5 hour or so. I don’t live in NJ but if I need to travel here to A1 to get my nails done I will without hesitation. I can’t wait to come back. Thank you!
