I hate finding new barbers because of this experience. I walked in and experienced, Angie. I have never left a barber shop angry before, but she managed to do it.
It felt like she had a 3 minute time limit to do this cut and I got roughed up during her mad scramble to make that 3 minute world record.
Typically, the barber makes adjustment, but not Angie. I was told to, 'Scrunch down in my chair' and 'tilt my head' a dozen times...and that was the extent of the conversation and her personality, which is indistinguishable from a person that is both in a rush and angry at the same time.
I left with a red neck, feeling like I had been in a fight. When she got the blade for my neck, I was scared that she was in such a hurry I would get cut.
And for all of that I had to pay almost Double a normal nice haircut. $32.00 !!! If all places were like this I'd rather shave my head than experience her again.
All in all, I will never be back. I've seen dogs get better grooming treatment than that. If I owned this place, I'd fire her immediately but then again, they are probably afraid to fire her. She'd probably start slinging that blade around.
I visit 2nd Street Barber extremely often. I go to Sarah, and she always gets me right. Great precision and very patient with new or tricky styles. I have even tried to use barbers around town, but my only experience I chose to emergency book Sarah to “fix” that trim! Excellent service and very communicative. Very easy appointment scheduling and I highly recommend Sarah!!
I walked in without an appointment and didn't expect them to have time, but Angie said she had 15 minutes before her next appointment and she could at least give me a trim. I'm astonished at how much she accomplished in such a short time. Full haircut, neck shave, shampoo, hot towel, styling, and minor detailing in 14 minutes. She's a miracle worker.
I’ve been coming here since they opened, Crystal has always taken the utmost care, and pride in my haircuts! She is an absolute sweetheart and joy to be around. We have even started bringing my son to her, and he loves her as well. Crystal is the absolute best, and I refuse to see anyone but her!
Jeanie Rice is absolutely amazing, my husband is extremely picky with his hair and we have been to many barbers and when we found her he said he won’t go anywhere else or let anyone touch his hair or beard except her!! She is so kind and makes you feel so welcome and comfortable my boys love her too, we will definitely be life long customers!!

Very difficult for me to find a new barber and trust one at the same time. I couldn’t be more pleased with seeing her. Very professional and kind! I’m very pleased with my overall experience of this shop.

I love this particular barbershop!!!! Which is weird that I am leaving a 1 Star, I know, but when I called to check on their availability, Susanne answered. She gave me some times and stylists that were available, however the stylist I was looking for was unavailable at the time. When I told her that I would call back and get scheduled for a haircut at a later date, she hung up on me. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. I did not intend on hurting anyone's feelings, but I like the way the other stylists at this particular shop cut my hair better than the way she cuts it. Sorry it's just a preference.i will be going back to get my haircut here, but definitely not with Susanne.
