I have to say I’m extremely disappointed in my nails- I still payed the $85 plus tips that they requested for the service I did tell the girl that I was unhappy with the way that they looked with all the stains that were left four days later and the stains still haven’t come off she said they would rise off—definitely won’t be going back there for my nails. I had more gems but fell off right after leaving… the underneath of the nails look horrible too, they did do an amazing job on the pedicure but the experience with the nails really killed it for me.
Update: After two years we’re still coming here. The service gets better every time. Morning Star is a vibe! He’s always cheerful and happy to welcome you in. I love getting pedicures here, I always feel so relaxed. And now they offer you a drink while you sit and get pampered :).
First time here and we were welcomed with a smile. It’s not really that big but it’s not tiny either. It had maybe 8 pedicure and manicure stations. It was nice and clean. It’s not fancy but it’s cute. It’s in the local neighborhood so that’s a plus. There’s plenty of parking spots. The host was an older gentleman, a really nice guy.
Staff: the ladies were nice and chatty and they joked around with us so I felt pretty comfortable. The gentleman who takes the payments is easy to talk to and we got free stylus pens. That was unexpected :). We got a punch card Incase we want to come back again.
Service: they had a variety of choices of what you wanted for pedicures and manicure! A lot of pretty colors for nails. My pedicure was awesome, I felt so relaxed. I think next time I will upgrade my pedicure :).
I am so disappointed in the service I received tonight because the owner sunshine is really a nice person but the service tonight was horrible! The lady cut down my nails after I told her not to. She didn’t cut my cuticles good. It was the customer service for me…I’m not sure if Friday night staff was mad but the lady who was running the place tonight was so nasty.I paid $100 for my service and the woman had the nerve to charge me for the wrong service and a 20% automatic tip… which is discriminatory because she didn’t do it for the lady before me.
Now before when Lambo did my pedicure I had Diamond studs on both toes and two tips on my big toes and gel for $115.00 not to mention I was not forced to tip and came back and gave him $40 in cash because I believe in quality service. #neveragain will they get my money
Friend and I came here for the first time and the whole experience was lovely. They respected our wishes and preferences, they were curtious, interactive and just so sweet. Prices were acceptable to me personally, given that they didnt once break skin, or make me jerk in discomfort like Ive experienced at other salons. I asked her for an artistic imagination of a geode using green and I loved how it turned out!
I was beyond pleased with my experience at this place. I had asked for a gel manicure and pedicure not knowing that what I wanted was actually called hard gel manicure they had no problem correcting it and giving me what I asked for. I loved the fact that I was able to get my manicure while getting my pedicure.. Cut my time in the salon in half wich is a huge plus for me I like that I was getting spa treatment in a small establishment.. The greeter makes sure you understand all services and charges beforehand. Wich is another huge plus for me and they gave me everything I asked for from the picture I showed them they were identical when she finished. Kate and van are amazing . I will be returning. Thank you vida nail spa for making me feel like a million bucks.

Way overpriced nails not up to standards pedicure was amazing though. Way overpriced and I called to say I wasnt happy with the shape or nail polish that cost me $20 more and when I went in the just barely filed them didn't fix the polish that was supposed to be tigers eye and the owner asked for a tip. I could of saved my gas money and filed them at home myself. The concept is a cool idea serving cocktails etc etc but with those prices the work needs to match. I payed well over $200 for a pedicure and full set.
I went to visit this nail salon and was wondering why everyone was so nice! Turns out after nails and pedicures for two people I paid $360!! I live in Monterey County and not even the best spas in Carmel by the Sea charge this much!! The work was good, artwork not nearly as perfected as what I requested. Charges on top of extra charges!! I went back and was given a $20 gift certificate. I was quoted $75 for nails with design on all nails and got design on 4 nails total…I was told prices are so high because he has artists from Hayward and San Jose but since when is it the customers job to pay for subpar work done? Absolutely appalled at the rates charged here and disappointed even more after speaking with owner.
