Nice staff, only waited 10 minutes. My experience is only of getting my undercut shortened. I don't like leaving negative reviews since this hurts businesses, so the docked-star is only for the price. The shave took maybe 7 minutes, definitely not more, but I was still charged $25 ("This is what we charge from crew cuts.") That is too much for me, I wish they had a better or more flexible pricing system. Will not be back.
Out of towner visiting the museum, stopped by the Greek restaurant (really great food and service as well!) for breakfast and stopped in here for a quick cut. So professional, fast and confident. Just got a trim but one of the best I've received in recent years, and the warm shave on my neck was worth any extra, my total was $29 + tip for a men's cut and neck shave and would definitely come back if I lived nearby!
My wife and I both came in for trims after recently moving into the area. Safe to say we have definitely found our new spot! Dia did such a good job with my wife’s hair with a full wash, trim, and blow dry, and I got exactly what I was looking for with my haircut. They were very kind and had great hospitality.
Easily a 5 star experience: great service, affordable, and right by campus. I recommend them for students and adults alike!
I arrived just as they were closing shop and the barber, Diell, kindly explained that they couldn’t take me at the moment but that I could come back tomorrow. It was a minor emergency, though, so Diell was kind enough to make an exception!
Please don’t come expecting exceptions like this to be made, but the barbers are all extremely professional and considerate. Highly recommended!
Excellent service - quick, professional, and clean! I showed up as a walk-in, but only had to wait about 10 minutes. Not sure of the name of the woman who shaved my undercut, but I appreciated her attention to detail.
I'm never visiting this place in my life again. The lady wasn't gentle with my hair at all. First of all she washed my hair in such a way as if she's rubbing a toilet that hasn't been cleaned for years! It felt like I'm gonna lose all my hair today! Then she didn't use conditioner and brushed my hair so roughly that literally all my hair was coming out with the brush! She was super fast but that wasn't a good thing because she was handling my hair so randomly while being fast. While cutting short my front hair she literally snatched my hair with the scissors!!! It hurt me so much and I'm not even talking about how much hair loss i have had on a single day!! I'm 28 and have been cutting my hair in different salons for so many years now but never experienced such a terrible one!!! If you love your hair please don't even think of visiting this place! I regret so much and I want to cry! Above all, the look after the haircut is not even close to "good" !!!! I just lost my money and hair without anything in return!!
This is the best and most reliable barber shop I’ve been to in Chicago! The employees here are super kind and are always very receptive, and their prices are very reasonable. Diell is a superb barber and is really good with fades especially, although they are all great barbers! Definitely give this place a go!
They faded me up really nicely. Highly recommend. They also have student day discounts on Wednesday for all services
