Stopped here today with my mom. A cute and clean salon. Just got new comfy chairs. Got some acrylics which turned out beautifully. My nail tech did a great job, was quick but careful. My moms tech was pretty rude and snappy. But still did a great job on her gel. I’d recommend just for the great results.
Tom comes in flawlessly every time! Love this place. They always fit me in when needed, even when the place is busy!
I have been going here for about three years now and have NEVER been disappointed. The salon is clean, esthetically pleasing, and the staff are so kinda and talented. They take appointments or walk-ins. Highly recommend!
If you want spoon nails, this is your shot. Oh and apparently it’s extra $8 for coffin/almond/stiletto shapes. Worst place ai’ve been so far ????????????????????????????????????????

The environment was not nice. I went midday on a Friday and the salon was not busy at all. I try to be very mindful of that when I know I'm getting complicated art/colors as to not overburden. I wanted to get my toes and nails matching rainbow colors for Pride. I asked for a pedicure but it was my first time here so I wasn't sure what services were included with their pedicures, they did not ask me which I wanted so I just went with the basic however I would have been happy paying for a deluxe / upgraded pedicure had I known what they offered.
I asked for 10 colors on my toes, which I know is a lot, but again I would have happily paid whatever upcharge they saw fit, but instead the pedicurist made me feel like a complete burden. She asked me 4-5x if I really wanted 10 colors on my toes like it was the most burdensome request she had ever had. I could very clearly tell that she was annoyed with me. There was another male helping her (multiple employees were sitting in the pedicure chairs on their phones), they were obviously talking about me because they kept looking at me and laughing. The amount of discomfort I was in while my feet were being done nearly sent me into a panic attack. The pedicurist was also very rough on my toes and made me bleed, which she ignored doing anything about and then proceeded to put chemicals on the multiple open wounds, one of which made them burn very badly. Felt very "getting punished for being needy."
I then went to a male for my nails using the same colors and thankfully he did not make me feel like a burden. He did a good job on my nails.
I would like to eventually try this salon again because my nails were done well but it will take a long while to get over the awful feeling I had as a customer and also being physically hurt. I couldn't even bring myself to complain when checking out because I just felt like I would piss them off and it wasn't worth it to me - it's not like they could undo the situation. I do not think that salons should treat anyone like a burden - if you need me to pay extra for the extra time, please just ask instead of acting rude about it. I will not be recommending.
The technicians all did a really good job. The staff was friendly and pleasant. However, my biggest concern was the reuse of the emery boards and utensils. They did not disinfect their utensils that I could see. The emery board definitely had been used many many times prior to me! This was a huge turn off.
i came to ultra nails immediately after getting a terrible fill done at another salon in the area, hoping they could fix my nails at least somewhat. song completely surpassed my expectations. she did such an amazing job, i never would have guessed these were the same nails!! i thought for sure i’d need a new set but song was able to shape them to perfection even though she had another tech’s mistakes to work through. she also stayed late & gave me a break on the price because of the fiasco. i’ll continue to go to ultra nails as long as i live in akron!!
