This is a lovely pub with lots of character. It has a nice garden with some kids play equipment to enjoy on the nicer days. The restaurant menu is quite simple which makes a nice change as you don't spend ages deciding what to go for. The food was very good and prepared to a high standard. I did however find the staff extremely inattentive and very slow to respond to anything which was quite a let down considering it wasn't overly busy.

Due to this we left after the main to finish our evening in another pub. I will probably visit again to give it another chance and would still recommend visiting it if your in the area.

Absolutely loved this restaurant.Cosy,rustic decor.Friendly staff.Excellent quality and presentation of food. (Thank you chefs,who are often forgotten) Highly recommend a visit here.

Never been before but will go again, steak and ale pie was delicious and such a generous amount of steak in it. 3 of us all enjoyed it very much. Had to take some home for the dog as large portion. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Could not ask for more. I forgot my tobacco at home and the brilliant bar staff sorted me out with some to ease my pain what a legend. Thank you for a lovely meal top Sunday dinner see you next week.

Really not impressed, such a lovely building on the outside , no character left inside, I stayed for 2 nights my room wasn't even cleaned on seconed day, no side plates just hot water with teabag, breakfast was basic and very greasy, dinner not good.

On the plus side wine was good

Great meal and excellent service. Good to see it so busy too but didn't delay service or staff friendliness.

Nice hotel. Friendly staff, cool drinks and very delicious english food at the restaurant. Had a very nice stay there. Unfortunatley it was just one night.

Loved the food, staff and atmosphere, will be going back.
