I had heard good things about this pub..first time visiting for me, upon turning into rhe carpark we knew it was busy.we had booked a table ahead so were okay..Tables were clean and we ordered drinks which came quickly..we were left to take our time whilst choosing what to order..It was at times difficult to hear what my partner was saying due to the amount of chatter in the pub . When the food arrived to 2 oaps with us got much smaller potions than my picture. The food was basic at best, rock hard dumplings & my partners belly pork was like leather and 70% fatty gristle. So service i give it a 9/10, seating 5/10 & food 5/10..definitely worth a visit tho to make your own mind up ????????
Really really nice Sunday dinner and reasonable prices (see photo). We had 2 regular beef and 1 regular pork - definitely no complaints. Nice fresh veg too. Forgot to take some photographs of the lunch but trust me, lovely ???? ???? PREBOOK a table

Really Really good very clean.... food excellent very well presented perfectly cooked. They have some excellent specials have a look you will not be disappointed.....And the staff could not have done more very helpful and very pleasant... please keep it up thank you I like the settings as well very pleasant place to eat *****
Not a large pub so not that many places to sit and can get relatively busy. Had the mince and dumplings with mash, and extra gravy. Food of good quality and nice large portions for what you pay for (we were all stuffed ????) also fair priced drinks, will be back again to try something else on the menu ????
This is a lovely place to eat and the food is great and piping hot. We only usually come for Sunday lunch but popped in on a cold and windy Saturday and had mince and dumplings. Mine was with mash and my mam had chips which were home cooked and lovely. We were served by a lovely young man called Andrew who seemed to be the only person waiting tables but he was very efficient and nobody had to wait long for their drinks or orders taken. We weren’t asked to wear a mask which pleased me as I find the silly rule off putting but most people did wear one until they were seated so the staff respect your personal choice. We’ve never had a bad meal here and will be back to sample some of the other tasty items on the menu.
I took my wife out for her birthday treat we both had tempura king prawns starters cooked in batter just lush. Then we had the 10oz sirloin steak each, mine was just the way i like it rare ( delicious ) my wifes was medium well ( a little bit tough sorry love ) they came with onion rings chips toms mushrooms and veg ( carrots . broccoli. Swede and cabbage .) I could not eat all the veg sorry Very good meal and service and reasonably priced aswell. Well done Percy arms

Lovely first visit. Staff first class, took great care of customers. food delicious a great choice menu. Great ambeionce there was a little funeral being held but staff still gave attention to other customers. Will be going back.
Oh also great value for food. Very reasonable.
