In 41 years, I have never had such a great haircut. The entire experience from the minute I stepped in was top notch...the vibe...the music...service...the style...all around BEST around!!! Jimmy's hair cutting skills are like an art - he gave me a haircut that I get compliments on from everyone I come in contact with! Then Victoria game me a great shampoo and scalp massage followed by a hot towel treatment. Been twice and never turning back! Would recommend to anyone/everyone I know!!!
Finally found the barber shop I've been looking for. Top notch customer service, top notch cutting skills, and a total feel good environment. Im so glad I finally found a barber shop to call my own. The whole team and staff was so friendly and nice, they hook you up with a wash and style at the end. I cant say enough good stuff about my experience here. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a new barber shop. Great neighborhood joint.
I have been searching for a new place for my son to get his hair cut. We tried the Parlour for the first time and he insists on only going back here! James is awesome. He does a great cut. He is great with the kids. The place looks great. Very clean. We will definitely keep coming back.
First time here under new ownership, and I could not be more pleased! Very friendly and personable! Quality haircut with a nice grooming service afterwards. Usually I sit in silence while getting my hair cut, but not the case here, talked the entire time. Will recommend to family and friends. Oh and one more thing, the appointment before me was a 10 year old and they couldn't be more kid friendly!
Went here regularly. Made an appointment with Dennis for 2pm, Dennis called out that day but I wasn't notified. Got a different barber, asked what I wanted. I wanted a light trim as I wanted to keep my top long (my top hair can touch my chin) but wanted to get my sides done. Barber said he would trim half an inch off and will shorten it to my liking.
My top hair now touches my eyebrows.
Watching how much hair was in the ground I knew I was not going to be what I asked for. My appointment was set for 30 minutes but they had me out in 15 minutes paid along with the complimentary shampoo. The barber confirmed what I wanted. Ignored it. Gave me a generic hair cut. He must have wanted me out quickly if he gave me a 10 minute hair cut for $30.
Granted. It doesn't look bad, according to my coworkers. It's not what I wanted, and my co-workers are just being nice. They didn't present the care and customer service that they have provided before, rushing me out for an overbooking because an employee was out. I would have more respected if they couldn't serve me because they wouldn't be in able to offer me the exemplary service that they usually provide.
I've sat on this for hours, but it's still bothering me so I felt that this should be here. Would've given a one star if this was my first experience. Disappointed.
Update: My hair grew back, but I wanted to keep this review up here to share my experience, they're hair cuts are really top notch but that day just wasn't it, and I value where my money is being spent. I'm giving the store 4 stars because that was the only time I received a bad experience.
I've been coming to the Parlor Barber Shop for about a year now. I was more then satisfied every time. James does a great job and takes pride in his work , and it shows. His lovely pretty girlfriend Victoria , helps with washing hair and shaves and also does a great job. They are cool people and are doing a great job keeping this business running strong under the circumstances of this pandemic , and its only going to get better!
I strongly recommend coming to the Parlor , give them a shot you will not be disappointed !!
Disappointed...just drove 25 minutes to make my 12 pm appt. **These guys are a notch above so worth the drive. Post It on door said "shop closed barber not feeling well"(completely understandable..no complaints about that) However even though they have customer contact info there was no heads-up that shop closed. Seems to show a lack of courtesy and consideration for the customer. Knowing they require customer give notice of cancellation you would think the same courtesy would be offered the customer when they cancel.....not a Post It on the door
I moved to the area about 2 years ago and started coming here after being disappointed by other nearby places. I can confidently say I've finally found my go-to barber shop. I've gone to all three guys here and have been extremely happy with the care and attention they put into every cut.
I also started bringing my sons (Ages 3 and 7) and in addition to how great they cut their hair, I really love how friendly and personable the barbers are with kids.
To the folks who run this shop, keep up the great work. I'll be recommending The Parlor to everyone I know.
