Lovely gastro pub with amazing food! We were pleasantly surprised by the variety, the innovative cuisine and quality of fresh ingredients. Friendly and warm welcome by the owner. Wonderful, will come back and strongly recommend

Had a fab meal here tonight. The staff were so nice. Food was delicious. Lovely stop in ten courtyard watching the yellow wag tail birds nesting. Dog friendly too.

I cannot rate Margos any higher, have been twice now and it is the only place ill happily spend my money out to eat. Working in the restraunt industry myself I understand the care and time that has gone into preparing the food and it is of the highest quality, have recommended to friends and family. This place is the real deal. Thankyou.

Excellent restaurant. The owner is a really friendly Maltese guy who makes you feel right at home. Even said I could help myself to cut some more bread. The food is amazing. He makes his own cured meats which were amazing too. Great space. The meal portions were big too, so bring an appetite. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Must go here.

I felt a little concerned as there is obviously a massive change going on. But how great the service was, friendly staff, food was great quality. Pleasant evening made better by the experience. Good luck as you guys go forward with your plans.

Authentic place, good interior, delicious food????????

A very big minus is staff - we spent about an hour there and they asked at least 3 times if everything okay - it’s a bit annoying. But when we asked for a slice of bread they forgot to bring it, also my pasta was collected before I could finished it without asking????????‍♀️

Not a place to come over again. Cannot recommend

We had a great experience! The attentive staff contributes to a warm atmosphere, the food is authentically Italian, the pizza was delicious. Worthy note, we visited on a quiet week evening, and it has been lovely to meet the house cats. We will return again.

Where do I even begin…

Unfortunately I have nothing other than negative and disappointing feedback. A large group of us went for lunch at the Mill and ordered 2 sharing platters of meat to start and separate dishes for main course. Due to there being a large group of us we were sat in the hallway next to a dirty popcorn machine and a candy floss maker.

Right from the get go the service was applauding, it took us 30 minutes to receive our drinks and an hour and 10 minutes to receive our cold meat starters. By which point we had all finished our first round of drinks. We had mentioned to the waitress at this point our starters had taken a long time to arrive and rather than being apologetic she rudely dismissed us and told us that wasn’t the case. We then received our mains another 40 minutes after the starters and quite honestly they were shocking, not one of us was happy with our mains. The homemade burger buns were drier than the Sahara desert, the burger meat was over cooked and poorly seasoned, the pizza and the pork were saltier than I am writing this review. After eating we asked to speak with the manager who was also one of the chefs. He began to inform us that he was extremely disappointed in us for not liking his food and didn’t care for our complaints. After this the waitress called one us a liar twice! Once the manager had finished telling us about how upset he was with us he walked off and refused to listen to the rest of our complaints. We asked if they would be happy to come to some arrangement on the bill and they were having none of it.

Overall the service was awful, the staff were rude, the food was poor and atmosphere dull. 100% do not recommend unless you enjoy a ruined meal.
