The best afternoon tea I've ever had and I've had a lot! All freshly made sandwiches, wraps, rolls, scones and cakes. You get loads of food and they box up anything you can't finish. The staff are lovely and friendly and go out of their way to make your visit a great experience. We were there with elderly relatives and they were very helpful and caring. I highly recommend the Mad Batter.

We popped in here by chance, and the breakfast was outstanding, best breakfast we had had for ages! Tea was lovely and staff were amazing so polite and welcoming.

Can’t wait to go back and try some of the cakes next time!

Purchased the sandwich platter and cake platter for my sons birthday party . Delighted with both and definitely took the stress out of organising food will definitely be back .

As an Aussie its hard to find a decent coffee in the UK, but the coffee here is fantastic. Food was delicious and topped off with great friendly service. We had a solid set of choices in the menu and had a great affordable lunch here. The bathroom has a good quality change table and is child friendly :). Very impressed.

Smashing wee place for some tasty home made baking. The cakes are delicious, the toasties are yummy and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We have been many times and plan to go many more. The tea for two is a feast of scones, cakes and sandwiches which leave you wanting more, well, to take home for later ????

The toilets and tables are always clean and tidy. Make sure to try their milkshakes, not too thick and not thin. Over all I highly recommend this lovely wee place to anyone looking for a hidden gem.
