Had a private party in the loft, it's now looking a lot better in there with a new dance floor and the toilets are looking a lot better. Friendly bar staff and decent beers upstairs (although only the premium beer) so a touch expensive but you can always go grab a beer downstairs. I would highly recommend this as a venue.
Went here for a gig on Friday. Smart little pub downstairs, under a tenner for a pint and a large wine so I was dead happy. Upstairs the venue was great, proper decent grungey music room, lots of stickers and graffiti. Sound quality was very good, briefly met the manager who was a really good chap. Bit weird that the upstairs bar mostly sold cans but got a decent pint of Neck Oil. Will definitely go back.
The Loft is exactly the kind of music venue the world needs.
Plus, neck oil on tap as an utter bonus.
Needs more than Captain Morgan for that final star though (and I don't mean the token dead man's fingers and kraken).
I am serious about the venue though!
We held an event, upstairs in the iconic Loft bar. Shaun and the whole team welcomed us and really looked after us. We feel safe & welcome in this pub, great place, great people. We can't wait to attend & run more events!
Bouncers on a power trip. Man handling 18 year old for fun. Left open the fire exit doors but denied whole group entry for their accidentally use. Terrible music too. Avoid
