This pub use to be one of the top establishments in the area.However no longer poor service, overpriced and staff(young lady!) more interested in her phone than serving.Empty glasses on tables not a lot of effort shown.

This is a fall from grace. Place is run down, they had no food on, and all the signs advertising events were well out of date. They still have Valentine's Day advertising up.

EDIT: Changed to 1 star instead of 2 due to poor excuses given by pub.

Wonderful Hotel, delicious food & drinks menu, in a great location to get to the main points of Scarborough & the owners Alex & Kelly are the best hosts I've come across in a long time, doing anything & everything to help your stay be the best it can be.

We stoped in here for some lunch and the food was fantastic and what a lovely place and it wasn't expensive , it was refurbished to a very high standard with the fresh smell of flowers filling the place.

The owner think his name was Alex went above and beyond to bring us some wonderful food, he was so nice and a delight to chat to, I live in the area but if your visiting Scarborough then this is a must place to visit , great food, fantastic ambiance, amazing owner, beautiful decor, spotlessly clean.

We'll be back.

Had a lovely family lunch here yesterday. Plenty of choice on the menu and all the meals were delicious. A really relaxing setting with plenty of room between the tables, and excellent & friendly service. You do have a bit of a wait for the food to come, but this is because all meals are cooked fresh (and there is a sign to advise you of this when you arrive). Wasn't a problem for us as it just gave us a bit more time to relax and talk. Food was great value and we will be back in future.

At last this Pub is moving in the right direction after many years of neglect! Good staff & decent beers! Also had the best Gammon steak I have had in years!!! Huge plate all cooked to a perfect tasting meal.

Just had the lovely Sunday roast

Very substantial meals. Excellent meat. Beef was lovely not dry at all. Roast vegetables beautiful. Service was excellent and they accommodated us with our two small dogs in the conservatory. Place was very clean tables cleaned, excellent social distancing measures in place. Very clean toilets. Lovely friendly staff who served tables very well. First visit here and will definatrly go back again.
