Great stay at the Golf Inn. The rooms are clean and well appointed. We had a lovely meal in the Restaurant and couldn't fault it at all. The staff are amazing from the guy behind the bar to the housekeeper. Special shout out to Graeme who single handed sorted out breakfast on Friday. We will definitely be staying here again. Thanks to you all.
A lovely venue with very friendly staff. Food was very well portioned, well presented and tasty. The menu had a great variety and the bar had a better than average drink selection.
We found the bar after 2 staff members in the Greyfriars resteraunt complained about the size of our group and the fact that we did not pre book.
We got up from the table and left and luckily for us found this place. All 9 of us enjoyed the food and service.
New owners have decided they no longer allow dogs in the bar area. Very disappointed by this...
St. Andrews is such a dog friendly town and we regularly popped into the Golf Inn for lunch after a walk along the beach. We’ll never return now.
Nice and cosy place the room was warm quite spacious and very comfortable. It's atop a bar so at first you get a false impression as the place was faultess when we stayed there.
Petit hôtel correct, situé juste à côté du golf, son plus grand atout.
Les chambres sont correcte mais petites.
La literie était très bonne.
Le restaurant était bon.
Le personnel accueillant.
The hotel isnt more than a 3, but the staff, location and setting gives it an extra star. Perfect location for a golf trip! 6 rooms.. We come back every year.
The worst food - please avoid! I've had my share of pretty rough takeaways and food in my life (a Londoner), but this was horrific. Had the fish and chips - the fish was still slightly frozen in the middle and the chips were just soft and greasy, as if the chef had thrown the chips in a deep fat fryer before the oil was even hot. It was the worst food I'd ever had in my entire life and I couldn't eat more than two bites. My two friends had the full breakfast and that was pretty awful - congealed food and overcooked bacon that had probably sat there for a while. All of us felt that a McDonalds would have been more edible!
My friend and i always pop in here when were on a road trip to St Andrews last trip was a while ago before my move to Shetland , lovely food great service and fab staff and social distance in place couldnt have felt more safe, helped to make my holiday even more special , thankyou all again ????
