We’ve used The English Chippy more times than I’d like to admit. Always speedy cheerful service and great food. Tried the other local chippies and they are not as good. Keep up the good work!

Good place for a afternoon greasy meal. Prices are good and food is tasty. Waiting times can be a bit long at around noon, but staff is quite efficient. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.

Best fish & chips we have had in years.

I went in and I ate and ate it wonderful food but I ate that much I had to have a lay down when I got home and couldn't move for a bit

The food is amazing and the drinks are so cold and refreshing would definitely recommend going there

Had their new salt & pepper chips and they were absolutely to die for, far far better than any I’ve had from any Chinese I’ve been to. 100% recommend.

Spending £18 on fish and chips x 2 I expect it to be decent, the fish scored a 2 . The chips were thin and dried up , and ended up in my bin . Will be trying elsewhere next time .

Bought fish n' chips X3 this evening at a cost £18. The chips were soggy and greasy, I asked for a lightly battered fish which was also soggy n greasy with only half a fish inside the mushy batter. The mushy peas we're nice but you can't really go wrong with these. Overall,very disappointed and definitely won't be returning.
