One of the best places we visited on the isle of wight, the staff were lovely and the kids loved looking at all the different things on the walls. The food was beautiful and very well priced. What a lovely little family business. We'll definitely be back again when we're next on the island!
Lovely breakfast in here this morning (the sausages and beans are very yummy) and staff are lovely. Coffee is OK and is only a £1 a cup. Reasonably priced breakfast as well. Giving 5 stars because it's a small local independent business and you can only be negative about the following (if you were being really picky):
- The shelves with all the old items on need a good clean/dust and organising.
- breakfast took about 50 mins to come
- my egg was completely raw on top, the white was running out all over my plate
- the bacon was really salty and I couldn't eat it
- the hash browns are horrible
Friendly, accommodating, flexible, fast.....and good food. Love it
An absolutely fantastic cafe in Ryde serving scrumptious home made food. The chicken pie, lamb stew and cheese sandwiches were absolutely superb. We just managed to find space for the home made apple pies and apple crumbles with custard, which provided more of the same magic! Everything at fair prices (a nice cup of tea was a £1 !) and very importantly, really lovely staff. A chap with some apparent mental health issues entered and the owner immediately went over and chatted with him to make him feel valued. A lovely human gesture especially as he didn't actually buy anything. Lovely people, nice atmosphere and terrific food. NB: Don't forget to ask them about the two nuns and the streaker...????????
Very doggy friendly! Super friendly service! Had coffee and a slice if delicious fruitcake - the dog was spoilt with a drink and a sausage!
Lovely little cozy cafe on the hill. The all day breakfast is to die for, the best part being the bubble and squeak. Everything is locally sourced and it's a family business as well. Very reasonable prices and extremely friendly service. Was the first place we went last time we visited The Isle. Can't wait to visit again next time.
Amazing service, such polite staff and reasonable price. Waiting time was great about 5 to 10mins from ordering.
Will definitely go again.
