Don't be put off by the exterior! Yes, it's dated. Yes, the carpark needs resurfacing but once you get inside you forget that. The staff are really friendly and make you feel welcome. The menu is extensive and the food very good. We will be back.
Ate here with a fairly large group today, first time eating here, we all had dofferent meals, loaded fries, burger, mixed grill, fajitas and more, we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, the service was also very good, lovely people. Will definitely be going back!
Fantastic Pub, Ben and staff are very friendly. Highly recommended. I took my family there to celebrate my mothers birthday and will definitely be returning very soon x
Ben said he could make any item on the menu ‘vegan friendly’ and we were not disappointed! We ordered the ‘chicken’ mushroom and onion ciabatta with chips and even had a choice of vegan desserts!! Thank you to Ben and his team for being so accommodating. We will definitely be ordering again. ????????
Absolutely fantastic meal here a few weeks ago. The new menu is really good, with plenty of choice for everyone. I chose the chilli salmon and really enjoyed it. The halloumi fries were the best I've ever eaten.
The Cavalier has changed hands a few times over the years, but I really think it's the best it's ever been now that Ben has taken over. It's really welcoming and a great pub for a family meal or local night out with friends.
Having forgot to take the stuff out of the freezer on Saturday for my Sunday Lunch, I decided i would try to order a Sunday lunch at noon on Sunday for delivery! I wasnt very hopeful to find anything but came across The Cavalier on Deliveroo so thought i'd give it a go.
The meal was delivered to me just before 1pm and it was still hot, just at the right temperature to tuck in straight away. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite, the beef was cooked perfectly, the veg was just right, not raw or mushy and the gravy was devine. To say I was pleased with what I had just consumed was an understatement. I will definantley be using them again 101%

Had a fabulous meal here with all the family, as a pre-Christmas treat. From the moment we arrived, Ben and his team made us very welcome and the table was perfectly set for our celebration. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, excellent quality and value. Will definitely be coming back and can't recommend highly enough.
Well I've been back a few times since writing the above, and I'm still impressed! Ben has got a great team, and really fantastic pub.
*Update*
Gone again tonight for a meal and the food was outstanding again! We went all out with having 3 courses each and it was worth only having a salad at lunchtime to be able to feast this evening! Food was hot, well presented and delicious. I can't recommend The Cavalier highly enough.
