Cute lobby, sweet staff. Scheduled a full groom and they were nice enough to let me know my pup only needed a partial groom so I saved money AND they called me right when he was done which I know can be hard to come by with groomers. They got my boys nails shorter than I thought they could considering his quicks were pretty long and trimmed his paw pads without me even having to specify! Bonus points for the cute bandana.

Very friendly staff and the only place I found that had next day availability for cat grooming. My cat Tiger was ready in a couple of hours and he looked great! I'm very happy with the services they provided, I highly recommend them.

I had a bad experience at Petco Grooming because my puppies are really shy and scared of new people so they told me they couldn't get the grooming done and one of my puppies even ended up going to the vet because his mouth was bleeding so I was super scared to try a new place out, but they took care of us at The Barking Lot, I love how good my puppies smell and how soft their hair is when I get them back. Steven is always super nice and gentle with my puppies Charlie and Stella, Thank you for taking care of us! :)

Brought my cat here to get his winter undercoat brushed/washed out. Picked up a happy cat that smells amazing. 1 week in and his shedding has significantly reduced. Very pleased with the results.

If your cat is shedding a lot, a professional grooming session works wonders. And these people can blowout a cat's undercoat just as well as any dog's.

Can I just say, "very good vibes!" This place is awesome, you can tell they are animal lovers, not out there trying to charge outrageous amounts of money for things.

I needed my puppies nail trimmed, the vet wanted to charge me $70, I found the BARKING LOT on Google, and BAM- $10 FIR nail trim. I will definitely recommend and go here from now on.

The Barking Lot in La Mesa’s owner Shannon was rude and disrespectful. They did not provide appropriate grooming services and mistreated our cat. We had an appointment for a Cat bath, trim and brush today at 2:30 pm. At 4:30 pm we attempted to pick him up. The attended said they needed more time, which is fine. At 5:00 pm, I knocked at the door 3 times, waited a few minutes. Shannon was rude and blamed my cat for peeing himself. Aggressively, Shannon said “your cat is not ready, he peed all over himself and you can take him like this if you want”. My cat was scared as he was mistreated by Shannon. Shannon slammed the door and the entire shop vibrated. The assistant apologized for Shannon’s actions and said she was going to quit her job soon because of that and because the terrible place/working environment that it is to work there. The assistant admitted that Shannon acted aggressivity and rude. Do not go to the Barking Lot in La Mesa (7991 La Mesa Blvd). It is the worst place. Beware as she will mistreat your pets.
