Best PlaceJuice Reviews

I went to Tenin a month ago. I was looking for a shop due to my regular stylist having to cancel on my due to getting sick. I was able to book with Tenin last minute and she took excellent care of me. Fast forward to a month later, and she's usually off on Sunday, but she was nice enough to come open up and get me in. Her pricing is reasonable and she's very helpful.
TERRIBLE SERVICE IF YOU CARE ABOUT THE HEALTH OF YOUR HAIR DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON! The woman who braided my hair braided it way too tight, so tight that it gave me a bald spot in the front of my head. It was done friday by saturday i began to see the braid lift and my hair being pulled right out! On sunday i took it out but not without my hair falling right out along with the extensions! When I called to ask for it to be fixed she rudely told me she was busy to come the next day and that i shouldn't have taken it out but my hair was in excruciating pain and falling out!! When i went the following morning (sunday) she told me she would only do 2 feed in braids which costs $40 at the most although I paid her $160 just 2days before for a style I liked but had to take out due to her negligence. Worst service ive ever seen avoid this place like the plague☠️????☠️????
I'm giving Tenin's Salon ONE STAR for a few reasons. The positive they were open on time and I was there for two and a half hours. Other then that I COMPLETELY dislike my hair. As you can see in my pictures the first one is the finished product and the second picture is what I asked for. I can respect someone more if you just let me know up front you can't do it. Especially, when I said i did not want them to be straight back. I'm going on vacation so I did not have time or money to waste. I was misquoted the prices, when I called and explained what i wanted something that should on been no more than $120 was way to expensive. NOT TO EVEN BE SATISFIED. Also she used products in my hair without even asking if it was okay. I cant get my hair wet because the loops are up and act as if they will slip out sloppy work. I tried calling and no one is answering the phone another problem bad customer service. There was a movie playing with witches and demeans which I feel was very inappropriate!
The only good part is that they weren't busy to take me right away. But, the owners employee who did my hair was so unprofessional. She was on the phone or talking loud over my head/making personal calls looking for housing and saying she on food stamps and doesn't work even though she was doing my hair., she ripped my hair out a least 4 times towards the front of my hair, I asked for human hair and I got the fake $4 stuff and it looked like it was used - she had to keep trying to reshape the hair, I thought they would put masks on and they didn't, they didn't ask about my vaccinations or nothing...just crazy...$180 is too much for the poor job and treatment and they don't give a receipt. OMG
It wasn’t a matter of miscommunication. I understood very clearly that the stylist had some kind of issue with me requesting that my edges not be braided too tight. She knew she was doing it too tight and she made sure that I felt it. She didn’t care that she was doing exactly the opposite of what my request was. Again, I asked very nicely, but it wasn’t received that way apparently. She was saying something to the stylist behind me and braiding my hair very tight; she had a nasty attitude after I asked. Like I stated before, I haven’t been back since!
I had gone to Tenin’s about three times to get my hair braided and was telling people about how good they were, but the last time I went was about a little over a year ago. I asked very nicely that my hair not be braided tight around the front edges. Well, the young woman apparently took offense and braided my hair very, very tight. She seemed to be saying something to the stylist that was behind us, and she had such an attitude. I was very surprised, and my scalp hurt so much! I never went back there, and I also stopped telling others to go there. That shop is definitely not for me.
I am so overprotective of who does my hair to the point 2012 was the last time my hair was braided. I've been wearing lace fronts and weave until June 2021 I decided to trust somebody to do my hair because my hair is naturally thin when I say naturally then I really mean naturally then with the slightest hard pull would literally pull my hair out. And truthfully speaking since I trusted Tenni to do my braids I can't even complain and that's very hard with me cuz I can find anything to complain about but dealing with her she is the best I even recommended her to a lot of people oh and let me let y'all know she's fast to also she treats you with the most respect and compassion I had a couple people that tried to get me to go to their salon or to the person that did their hair and I chose not to even if some was cheaper than what I'm paying which I still don't even think what I'm paying is a lot of money.. number one loyal client ‼️‼️????????????????
It's the owner getting smart with me for me...
smh. I usually have a really good experience but not this time. I asked for my daughter to get box braids to the middle of her back. The "new" lady told me $180. Although I felt overcharged because it's never that price and my daughter and I always get the same thing. I said okay.Long story short I only asked the owner if prices went up. She replied with an attitude loudly, I guess trying to embarrass me and said, "then why did you let her keep going?.." But I didn't give her the same energy. I kept it real cute... Honestly, I thought prices changed..I haven't been there since before the pandemic...anyway I felt so disrespected and out of place the rest of the time there. As did my daughter. Not to mention some of the comments that were made there after. Only 2 of the owners employees made my daughter and I feel comfortable. We will not be returning
