I brought my mother here to get her hair cut less than a week ago, once the stylist was finished my mom initially wanted her cut a little shorter.
I encouraged her to leave it slightly long because “you can always take more off but you can’t put more back on.”
We left with the thought and understanding that if it ended up being too long we could come back and just get those few extra inches/centimeters off at no extra cost.
We definitely should’ve clarified, either way, I brought my mother back for a trim up since ultimately she did want the cut shorter.
We spoke to and got the trim by the same woman who did the initial cut.
She consulted with another woman (I’m assuming the owner) in Spanish before we left and as we were leaving the short, long blonde curly haired woman asked if we were ready to pay.
Lol, sure sis.
Here’s another $35 on top of the original $35, and both tips.
We will not return here.
Should’ve discussed that extra payment in English too honestly since there was a language barrier and it wasn’t explicitly explained beforehand.
And I’m not gonna lie, while my moms hair is thin, and the stylist was kind, courteous and helpful, the cut is choppy. 2 stars because the facility is clean and there was miscommunication on our end. But over all this was a bad experience.

Workers the best!!! But the owner is one of the worst person!! we came to get a hair cut of course we are going to pay.And if this business is run by the owner with her bad attitude all the time against children than she should not be in business!!! Remember we the Customers make her business.
Decent place to cut your hair, at least. They have decent prices.Some of the new staff moves quick but you see the defects. It's too expensive now . Dont let the new girl who's dark complexion close to kids(its not wendy) my husband has scabs from being cut by this lady . Wendy is awesome with both kids and adults .
I have been coming to this establishment for a couple of years now and I have always been treated great when I walk in. Shay is my favorite, she always makes me feel at home. I will even wait an extra week or two just to see her if I miss her. I have never got a bad haircut from Studio 44 even if someone other than Shay does my haircut and shave, even the owner will hook you up when they are busy. Great service and thanks for making me feel at home.
Studio forty four is the best place for a professional hair cut. The staff is professional and the studio is very clean and modern. They go out of there way to make sure the client is happy and feels comfortable. Only draw back is the long wait times. I've waited over an HR plenty of times because the amount of clients. If you have the time and the money because they are a bit higher then other places, then you should be coming here.
Walk in looking like a caveman, walk out looking mad delectably scrumptious ready for any function! Barbers are so precise with their haircuts & pay close attention to detail! Best barbers in the city hands down!
