I consistently get excellent nail care from Lynne at Star Nails. Lynne takes very good care of me, as I need extra help walking, moving around, and bending over. She is a truly compassionate person. In truth, all the nail artists treat me with respect & extra care, because I am disabled. I tell anyone who asks about my beautiful nails to go to Star Nails!

My first review, Bella was my nail tech. Well, she disappeared without a word so now Jenna is my nail tech but I think every tech in the spa is good. Sometime I stray to a different salon because I live far away and I always regret it. Star Nails is very clean and sterile, the prices are reasonable, they finally have lots of colors, my appointments always start on time and my nails and toes always look great! Jenna gets the job done every time!

DO NOT COME HERE! A WORKER MESSED MY NAILS UP AND DID NOT FINISH, THEY TOLD ME TO COME BACK TOMORROW AND THEN NOBODY SERVICED ME! THEY DIDNT EVEN SOAK OFF THE HALF FINISHED ACRYLIC THAT THE NAIL TECH DID! DISGUSTING PEOPLE THAT TREAT CUSTOMERS HORRIBLE! THE WORKER IN THE FIRST SEAT NEEDS TO BE RETRAINED

I always have a great experience when I visit star nails. All the staff is equally talented, but I personally love Miley, she’s pleasant & professional.

This is by far one of the worst nail salons I have visited in my life.

I have visited four times and each time has gotten progressively worse.

The last time I went, I paid $80 for a "high-end" pedicure. I wouldn't have openly complained, however, in a week half of my gel polish is chipped or completely gone from my toes.

I have never experienced gel polish reacting this way.

They couldn't pay me to come back.

If I could give them lower stars, I would.

Love this place - I've been coming here for years and they always do such a good job. They accommodate me and my nails are difficult to do because I'm a professional guitarist so my left hand must be treated much differently than my right hand to include the length of the nails and the thickness or thinness of the acrylic. Can't thank them enough for all their years of good service. My husband buys me a huge gift certificate every Christmas which is my favorite gift of all every year!

The chairs are great! But, there is a very limited choice of polish colors (unless you want gel), there was no massage or anything with the pedicure (a big part of why I pay for one or else I'd just do it myself), and my big toes didn't even get rubbed with the pumice stone so are still rough. The space is clean and meets the bare minimum for being a good place... but there needs to be than the bare minimum for a good rating.

I’ve been going here for over 15 years and have never had a bad experience! The shop has always been clean and very sanitary. All of the wonderful technicians I’ve ever worked with have been professional & friendly. I’ve relocated further away from the shop and tried other nail salons but I’m terrified of anyone else doing my eyebrows because my skin is very sensitive to most wax and the other salons just don’t live up to the quality of cleanliness and safety! For those reasons and more I’ll continue my travels to silver spring to Star Nails!
