I cannot say enough good things about Star! I have been going here for about 5 years but over the last 2 I’ve gotten much more creative (and ambitious) with the designs I want. They have never turned an idea down and are always up for a challenge! They definitely have 2 or 3 nail techs who specialize in designs more than others but all are amazing (especially Michelle). There is sometimes a wait but they work hard to get you in a chair as soon as they can. Everyone is extremely friendly, especially the man who sits near the front of the store. He is always happy to chat and make you laugh. Every single time I get a design set done I’m astounded by how affordable it is, especially compared to other places in Eagan, so I always make sure to tip very well. Also, if you pay in cash they give you a 10% discount so make sure to stop at an ATM before your visit. I’ll try and attach some photos of the sets I’ve had done here before, all are usually around $45-$55. Overall, I love going to Star and watching them work their magic, they amaze me every time!

Super fun and clean place. The nail techs do such an amazing job and can do any design that you want. They are also fast at doing them so you're not sitting forever while getting them done. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Been going now for over a decade.

The service at Star Nails is unbeatable. I’ve been to so many different salons, and I keep coming back to Star Nails again and again. The service is quick, prices are affordable, and the technicians are extremely careful and talented! My gel manicures last for so long, and my nails remain really healthy.

I went here today to get a dip powder on my nails. They made my cuticles bleed because the nail tech wasn’t paying attention (she was answering the phone while trying to do my nails) and she did a sloppy job, there is paint all around my fingernails and my nails themselves are unevenly painted. A waste of $40.

Update-went back a week later to get it removed and decided to give it one more try since it was a different tech. She didn’t make me bleed at least but still did a bad job, my nails look horrible and there is paint everywhere. The picture below is after I asked her to clean up the paint around my cuticles and after I washed my hands several times to try to get the excess paint off. When I said something, she told me that “it will come off once you wash your hands” which clearly didn’t happen. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I am a guy which always makes getting my toenails cut a challenge. For years, I battled with callouses, cracked skin, ingrown toenails, and athlete's foot. Thanks to Star Nails, I have a place that accepts male clients without feeling awkward or judged. The price is great, the service is great, and the results for me are healthier feet for just $25 per session.

In my experience, the nail technicians don't like being told what to do. They want to do what they think is best for you, which can be ok sometimes....

But they need to be open to the customers' request aslo !
