So I’ve been going to this nail salon for about a year now, and I always get a manicure and they’ve all been great. Well this last time I decided to get my feet done for a change, the lady did a pretty decent job. A day later my toe starts to ache on the side, I peel off the polish and it is swollen with pus. They do not disinfect their tools, I have never had ingrown toenails or anything. I will not be going back there, and I’d advise you to find another salon.
They do a great job on my nails. This was my second time going. Loi did my Dream Spa Pedicure with gel polish and my manicure with SNS powder this time. The neck and should massage was EVERYTHING!!! The only reason I gave them 4 out of 5 stars is because it was a long wait both times I went. The service is worth the wait, but I suggest you make an appointment if you have other things planned.
If you're thinking about getting your nails and toes done here in Dublin, then Star Nails is more than likely the best place for you. Little bit of a wait but it's well worth it. The product quality is very good and lasts longer than the other shops I've visited. I do highly recommend Kayla as your technician. She works fast and does a really neat job. She communicates well and even helped me pick a color that would go good with my skin tone. I was very satisfied with my service and do recommend you give them a try.

I come to star nails every 2 weeks and have been for years. Today I went in to get a fill in and pedicure. I walked in and the lady asked me what did I need and I told her. I signed in and sat down. About 10-15 minutes later, a white lady came in. A few minutes later another white lady came in. The lady asled them what they needed and they told her. So I had been sitting there for a while patiently waiting for my turn. They guy that was working there finished with his customer and called one of the white lady's to get her manicure done. So I'm looking crazy like, how can he call her before me and I been here. So I brushed it off and continued to wait for my turn. So then, the lady who asked me what i needed, she called the other white lady to get a pedicure done. So at this point, I'm heated now. So I sat there for a minute to gather my thoughts and take in what just happened. At that point, I was done and I got up and walked out. I will find somewhere else to go from now on.
Went there and sat for a while which I knew was normal finally one of the nail techs came in rushing at down and started doing my nails he messed up on the size of the nail so he glued 2 nail tips on my finger, cut me twice and blamed me and glue was everywhere... charged me 75 dollars... not going back
I went in for a simple manicure. Was asked if I want gel... no just clear polish. Man did the manicure and tried to get me to do French manicure ( they look pretty he said). Again I said no. Just clear. He preceded and put my hand in the dryer. When he finished he wrote 32 on piece of paper. Said “ you pay”. I said y? He said go up front. I did. He came up and said 35$. I said no! I pointed to the price board and said manicure is 16$... he said u got Gel. I said I did not want gel and I’ll pay 16$. He spoke to other lady in their language. Said 17$. They charge 1$ for visa. He tried to get one over in this ole gal but he lost!! Will not go back to be taken advantage of again. Watch the prices here!!
Was Not impressed one bit- should’ve read reviews first. My SPA pedicure was nothing but ordinary. She wanted to use the drill to remove old polish. I told her no to use nail polish remover.
They did not wipe down the chair I was in before putting someone else in it.
My niece wanted SNS. They had her soak for about an hour. They only have 3 people who do SNS. The man she got just came in from smoking and smelled like smoke and was coughing part of the time.
She request coffin cut and he said no her nails were too short. At the end instead of her nails being smooth there was this lump/clump at the end. The owner (at least I think it was the owner) said that the lump was because the end was so small. I have never seen that with SNS or even acrylic for that matter.
She wanted to wash her hands after the put an oil on the nails and they said she didn’t need to.
