When I’m coming to spend my money I don’t expect to be watched like a hawk! I politely told one girl I didn’t need any help but proceed to still follow me around the store. I don’t encourage anyone to shop here because they discriminate against black people. I came here to buy tape ins and after I was being followed I made that same girl get everything I didn’t need just to get to the register and tell them I don’t want it.
This beauty supply store is great to have in the community. Pros plenty of parking. and employees are helpful. Cons parking lot is dark, security guard posted at front door, no refunds, only exchanges or store credit. Limited inventory.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. Buyer beware! Some of the employees are very rude and they put the wrong price labels on merchandise. A package of braid hair was marked $2.99 but I was charged $5.99. When I asked why the price shown is not being honored I was told "an employee put the wrong price." When I explained that I shouldn't have to pay more the cashier became irrate and suggested I go to another store. I will honor her request and NEVER shop at STAR BEAUTY SUPPLY AGAIN.
This beauty supply store has a ton of products not just for ladies but for men too. They have a fantastic supply of beard care products including a wide variety of castor oils. I highly recommend this store for products essential for beard growth.
Got everything you need! Wig selection is supreme. The pictures I featured are all $20 wigs. They also provide a great discount for stylists.
Found almost everything I needed. They didn't have bronze hair pins. They are the only place I could find Originals Olive Oil Moisturizing Growth Lotion.
Whenever I need to get good hair products or my cholesterol I come here. I feel a good vibe when I walk in here. Prices are good, customer service is decent. There have been times where the cashier's are not always friendly but if you check them, they will change their tune. I don't really look at anyone, I just go get what I need and leave. Everything is cyclical. I've never been treated poorly or seen attitude from anyone. The past couple of years they have been very nice- which is why I go more often. But this is where I get my hair products.

I was looking for a half wig, they only had one and I didn't like it. I bought a wig with a headband, bc I was short on time and couldn't run around and I'm not getting the look I wanted and the hair flies in my face CONSTANTLY????. I put a hat on to tame it. I really don't like it, however, I would go there again despite not having great success this time. I also purchased a package of eyebrow stencils. This was my first visit and my first wig. I was referred by my daughter.
