We stayed here a week after (re-)opening, as a base for exploring Tentsmuir forest. The rooms were functional but the food was outstanding, we will definitely stay again when in the area. 5/5

Stopped off here for dinner on the way home and I wasn't disappointed. Started with the soup which was homemade and delicious served with a nice piece of warm baguette. Main course I decided on steak pie and oh boy was it good, plenty of great quality and well cooked meat from a local butcher with new potatoes and good selection of vegetables. Best meal that I've had for a good while and highly recommended. Service was very friendly and efficient also. I will definitely go back.

Traditionally styled country Inn. Spotlessly clean, excellent food, comprehensive menu. Sticky toffee pudding (made on the premises) was delicious! Would definitely recommend if you're looking for quality pub grub in the area.

We had long heard good recommendations about this place and decided to pop by one afternoon. The parking was very easy and accessible. We were greeted very warmly and given the choice of tables. Inside, the place was very clean and homely. The starter and mains food menu was extensive and varied and included classic British as well as some newer dishes. Prices were very reasonable. There was a good choice in the kids Menu as well. Take notice of the specials as they are very tempting. The soups are also delicious. Our order was taken promptly and the wait was not too long. Desert selection was somewhat limited but we could not falter our choice!!! In summary, a great place to eat on a reasonable budget. The slight shortfall is the limited desert Menu but the great taste and the very helpful staff make it one of the places I would highly recommend if every you are travelling nearby. You will not be disappointed.

Lovely meal out. Quite quiet, which is a shame. It's great a little pub restaurant and over the years (now 30), we've never had a bad meal. The staff were very friendly and efficient.

Stopped here for lunch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. We both had the burgers and would highly recommend them. Excellent place.

We had a lovely meal with friends, great menu with lots of choice. The food was all piping hot and tasted delicious. Staff all very attentive and friendly. I also as the only one not to clear my plate as the portion size was so big. Next time I'll not have a starter and then maybe can finish my main ????. Nobody had sweets as we were all far too full. Nice wine selection too.
