Update: The gems started falling off. Not even 24hrs in.
I can not express how unsatisfied I am with the nail service I received today. I paid over $100+ w/tip for these nails. The color is gorgeous. The application is not. I came in with a reference photo, nothing crazy and I hate them. Before the polish the nail shape was fine but after (literally) several coats, they started to look lumpy and inconsistent. Also her method of applying acrylic was something I've never seen before. It was a very sloppy method which worried me. The nail tech had a hard time putting on the gold flakes and didn't seem very experienced with nail art. I felt like she was only applying the product and not insuring the shape flattered my fingers. They look like press ons that are too big for my nail bed. She started to rush the nail painting process so of course they don't look as good. I'm sure there are more seasoned nail techs at this location but the person who I got failed at simple nail art. Yes she was kind but that doesn't matter when you're paying extra for the shape, gold flakes, and diamonds. I wanted to have a blunt coffin shape like in the photo I showed her. Not square/rounded looking nails. This is the kind of spa that will give you almond nails after you'd ask for stilettos. It's aggravating.
They are so friendly here! Very talented with designs too! I even took my toddler in and they took time with her and even gave her a design on her little tiny nails. I forgot to take a picture of hers but I will next time I take her! I rarely go back to a nail salon twice, good ones are so hard to find, but I will be going back to this one for sure!!!
They are the best. Quick and perfect service! My tech is great at new sets and fills! And she is amazing too! I've come here off and on for three years and always get compliments even 4 weeks after I had my nails done.
Great service! I went with a couple of friends, and even though we were almost 15 minutes late to our appointment, they were still able to accommodate us. I opted to get regular polish because I had a special event but knew I would have to remove the polish a few days afterwards. Kelly, my technician was efficient, and the color application was smooth and opaque. There were some edges where the polish got on my skin, but that washed off easily enough. I would love to come back another time when I can keep my nails longer to get a gel manicure with a more intricate design.
First time customer, and I will definitely be back! Ann did a great job on my pedicure! She communicates excellently and is very thorough. I don't feel rushed at all. I am very impressed and satisfied with their cleaning.
All of the staff that work there do excellent work, are friendly and make you feel welcomed. Today I had the pleasure of they doing my nails. I did my nails Last week, and I love the space and the people that work at SOUTHSIDE NAILS & SPA! They were so gentle and kind and the nails turned out AMAZING! Love my new shape and the hand painted design ????
SOUTHSIDE NAILS & SPA offered a great experience to my whole party! I got a fancier set than normal and the prices are always reasonable. I’ve been impressed with almost all the technicians. They were so nice and my nails loved every moment. Fantastic job and good service.
