Decent park. While visiting a local let us know about a guy who normally will watch the kids and has a not so good vibe about him. Some of the older locals have taken their time to make sure the park is safe from crime and that the kids can play safe.

It needs upgraded and bigger parking.. But, This is a great place to bring your family for a quick lil get away. Kids can have fun on the play ground. Nice shaded area for a picnic. I wish they would fix the horse show pits and add better lighting.

Great trout fishing spot.

I'm so glad they finally put restrooms here at this park...It's such an awesome place to take kids, I love it!

Beautiful park by the river, walking path through the park. Clean with picnic tables. There is also a nice playground.

Peaceful place for us older folks to enjoy the river and watching the kids play.

Nice little playground with restrooms and a covered shelter. It's right on the river and there were lots of geese on the water. There is a walking path that extends in both directions.

Nice park with a nature walk trail that is paved. Picnic tables and a covered area. Has playground equipment for the kids. We were told that the downriver part of the walking path has a homeless camp near it.

Nice cool place beside the Watauga River to take a stroll on the trail or picnic beside the River. Elizabethton parks and rec does a great job of maintaining all of the parks facilities. They recently built some very nice men's and lady's restrooms. They are also several picnic tables located just a few feet away from the rivers banks. I love to go here just to get away from everything for a while.
