Always busy, always on the ball. This is a stop worth taking if you need to have sustenance. As long as it is before 3 pm. The truck parking is a clue but don’t let that put you off or the motorcycles. That just shows they are tried and true. Enjoy good food at reasonable prices.
Rainbow is always delicious. Don't let the location fool you. They are a family owned and run business. The restaurant is clean and friendly. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger which was amazingly delicious. My husband ordered the The Charles Burger (mushroom swiss) one of his top tasting burgers. My mom ordered the liver and onions, it's not for me, but she loved it and there was plenty of it.
We always love going to Rainbow and talking with the staff. They are busy, but never too busy to chat a minute and still give good service. They have amazing breakfast too and a country buffet.
While they always look busy, we haven't been here in years due to quality. Thought we'd give them another try because we heard they had made a lot of changes. Yep, no changes! The buffet was $14 and everything on it was frozen, canned or instant. We won't be back.
We were bikers passing by. This place was perfect for us and all opted for the quick and easy buffet option. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed their lunch. It was not busy even on a Sunday lunch.
My husband research on line this place. I had planned to get the grilled cheese but saw they had breakfast. We order our drinks and sat and looked at the menu. Very large menu and large seating available. Our waitress was very bubbly, she had sparkling eyes under her dark brown frame glasses. I asked about the stack of tall hotcakes and she said, yes just butter. I ordered them and my husband ordered the hashbrowns crispy with toast, eggs, and a side of biscuits and gravy. While we waited more and more people came in. A couple behind us were talking and he was yelling at her, I felt bad for her. The food came and it looked great! I put some butter on the 1st pancake and cut into the 4 of them and cut them in half. Took a bite and it tasted tough like it was over cooked. Well I had 3 more, no worries. Something must have been on the grill when they were made. It was not what I expected, but my husband's food he said was Great! I ate his toast. We were just passing through so, we will have to try it another time, just get the grilled cheese instead.
We were in a group of about 40 arriving about 9:30 am for breakfast (we did call ahead). 2 servers were assigned to our large group and they did an admirable job. We were also all seated together in a large side room which was nice. My friend's oatmeal was cold upon serving, another friends pancake was overdone as were my sausage patties. I think there was nearly an hour time difference between when the first person and the last person of our group received their breakfast. I think our large group overwhelmed The Rainbow.
A roadside diner that is poular with truckers and locals. Not glossy like the fast food joints, but more of an early '60s look.
The food is ample and quite tasty, and is ordered from a full menu of American standards. Also, the lunch buffet is a good way to go. They have take-away as well.
You should drop in and eat up!
We love supporting small business and this one did not disappoint. Breakfast all day! Biscuits and gravy! Awesome
