Interessantes Museum mit einem erhellenden Dokumentationsfilm. Es gibt schönen Schmuck, Töpferware und andere Handwerkskunst zu kaufen, made in USA. Im Hof gibt es ein schönes Mural zu bewundern
Stopped here and it has great selection of items to buy and a free museum that is informative. There is a hike across the street that is $3 per person. The hike is about 1.5 miles and so beautiful with the red rocks. It is a must-do.
Decent restroom, great gift shop, and a coffee shop. Need to stop there if you are not very educated about the local culture. Great view from the parking lot. Across the street from the Red Rock trail head. Pick up your hiking permit at the welcome center.
The women that greeted me and work here are beautiful inside and out.
There is a little spot inside for coffee and cookies and pie.
The gift store has a museum and it is amazing
There is no photography allowed in the museum so I won't have photos 9f that bit I will post a couple I took of the gift shop and hummingbird cafe.
historic and poignant. This Visitors Center. museum and gift shop is a cultural gem in the middle of the colorful Jemez mountains. The friendly staff shared knowledgeable advice about scenic areas to photograph and where to get the tastiest fry bread.
Magical istorical place! If you have time, make this detour and stop at the welcome center. You won't be sorry. There is a trail that is easy to track and a little bit over a mile long on the other side of the road. The red dirt and the scenery is truly something to behold. The visitor center will provide you with the map. Also, there is a museum that introduces the history of the region at the visitor center. There is a true to scale recreation of the living quarters, gardening habits, clay furnace for cooking outside the museum and the visitor center. And of course gift shop, which features local artists.
It is a nice stop for a day trip to the area. There is a winery and other attractions on your way to the springs. The people are nice and easy to talk to. They have a deep culture and a history.
Great new cafe& coffee!!! Star Fragua provided amazing service!!! I'll be back soon!! ♡♡♡♡
