Best PlaceJuice Reviews

Came into a very lovely pub with very helpful and friendly staff. The music was brilliant. Worth the walk from trecco bay. Prices were really reasonable. The food was fantastic, very delicious Well prepared and a very good amount of it. Will definitely come back again for food. Thank you for a lovely time.
I've been living in Porthcawl for nearly three months and regularly visit The POW. I can honestly say I've been made welcome and always have a good pint at a reasonable price. The landlord Gary is the best landlord I know. Yes, he has a pint with his customers it's called socialising where I come from. There is a good local crowd in there and yes, some wear tracksuits but possibly more expensive than my designer suits. As with any public house nowadays dogs can be taken in, but I've never seen any running round. Please don't be put off by the comments of Henry he's obviously accustomed to much better establishments where your ripped off and people sit there looking at the floor and don't wish to have a conversation. In my time in there I've been made more than welcome and will miss the proper rough chavs and a beer drinking landlord. When you walk into any pub you have an option either stay or go. If you make the decision to stay, then the ambience you talk about was there before you walked in so why stay. I'd suggest before writing derogatory comments if you have a comment make it know to the landlord. Anyway, I've now heard that Wetherspoons are charging for crayons so the previous reviewer will be able to sit with suit clad yuppies and certainly no dogs but will have to pay for his colouring books and crayons. By far the BEST PUB in the area Sunday Lunch cheaper than you can make at home. Try it and make your own assumptions rather than take notice of someone who has double standards. If you don't like what you see walk out but I'm sure you will and like many customer's make it their local when in Porthcawl.
This is, by far the worst Pub in Porthcawl. Track suit wearing Chavs stood at the bar swearing. Dogs running around under no control. The Landlord is sat at the bar with a pint in front of him, arguing with said chavs, but this was 4.30 in the afternoon! A proper, rough, chavs place. Horrible dump of a pub! Please don't take too much stock as to the rubbish A.Evans has written! People don't wear 'designer suits' in this place. He's obviously one of the simpletons in here. He was even stupid enough to give his review a thumbs up! How dim is this bloke? I'm guessing he's a 'mate' of the sociable landlord.
