I've just moved on from Maidenhead after 4 years so I feel compelled to let the people know that this is THE Fish and Chips place in Maidenhead. I fancy myself a bit of a Fish and Chips connoisseur, trying as many restaraunts nationwide as I can, when I can. I have to say the style of F&C they do at Oh My Cod, both the Cod and the chips, are 10/10 in both taste and appearance. The chips are golden, flavoursome, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside - perfect. The cod is a great size every time, golden battered and crispy. You'll have to wait as they cook it fresh but it's worth the wait for that very reason, the quality is the same high standard week in, week out. All the staff are absolutely lovely, personable and friendly, making popping in a nice experience for anyone. I miss this place already and hope to go back in the future!
Nice food, but they were too slow serving it up. At 1pm lunchtime, would expect ordering a bag of chips to be in and out in 20 seconds not 10 minutes. Ask how long you'll be waiting!
I simply ask if I may have some salad on my chips please. I've been told "you are not in a Kebab shop, and we can not alter our menu to customers needs" . Call it Funny or Rude your choice.
Oh My Cod is absolutely wonderful. Staff are well trained and nice people. Cod is cooked fresh and always very nice. I had my food on Friday night and it was incredible. 25 minute wait but the staff apologised and wished me a good evening. 100% worth it.

Absolutely world class. Most of us think that the humble fish and chip meal is very easy to prepare and cook. In my experience, it really is never that simple. Just like the venerable full English cooked breakfast, it starts with quality ingredients and the a desire from the cook/chef to take the neccessary time to produce consistent results. Most food cooked to order here, but DEFINITELY worth the wait. This family business really cares about the customer. Always cheerful and friendly. Love you guys, thank you. D
