I want to love this place because everyone is very nice and they’re great about getting me in for a last minute appointment- perfect for me because I have a baby and sometimes I’m free for a nail visit last minute. But this most recent visit was really disappointing. I knew my nails were on the shorter side, but she ended up filing them much shorter. Fine, I don’t mind short nails. But the design I asked for was an ombré, and after applying the base coat, they then told me my nails were too short for the ombré I wanted. I asked for a design then, because I didn’t really want plain pink nails, and my nail tech was visibly annoyed at this. I think she tried her best, but the designs did not turn out well at all. By this point I’d been there for quite awhile and needed to get home to feed my baby. There was no way I could have them start over. But I left feeling really bummed out because I don’t like the way they look. I wish they had told me from the beginning that my nails were too short for what I wanted. I would have done something completely different.
Edited to add that they also got a crazy amount of paraffin in my ring because they didn’t have me take it off. By the time I realized what she was doing, it was too late.
I’ve been going somewhere else for awhile but now I don’t know why. Ocean nails is great. I just walked in and they were super busy and was told by the person at the desk that I had to come back at 3. I said I could wait a little bit and Lee said they could get me in. She was really nice. I only had to wait about 5 min. I didn’t even have time to pick a color. Lisa did my nails and she was so nice and gentle. I love the colors they have. My nails look amazing. Much better than the other place and if you sign up you get a birthday coupon which was nice and you earn points each time you go that goes towards services. They even had free Christmas gifts under the tree. Organic massage lotion with a nail brush.Ocean nails is where I’m going from now on. Thank you Lisa and Lee.
I have been going here for about 7 years. I take all my boys to get pedicures there. They are always so inviting and put up with all the crazy designs the boys want on their toes. Wonderful atmosphere, clean, well maintained. I always tell everyone to go here!
The ladies we so sweet! My 11 year old daughter and I had a wonderful mani/pedi experience. Will absolutely be going back!
This is the best nail place in town in my opinion! All the ladies that work here are so nice and have great attention to detail. I never feel rushed here. Also as a mom, sometimes i have to bring my toddlers and they are very helpful and never made me feel like a burden for having to bring them.
I figured I would try a new place since mine was closed for 2 days. Everyone was super nice! But My nails were not what I asked for. The only thing they got right was the color. The edges are jagged and sharp, they are real thick and nails are uneven, some of the sides are already coming off and it’s been less than an hour since I got them done. Some of my real nails are poking out the bottom. I’ve had to file and fix them myself. I definitely will not be coming back and it’s definitely not $50 worth of work.
Called around to see who did brow wax and tint, this was probably the 3rd place I called and they said they did tinting. Went there and she had no idea what she was doing, she put the dye all over and around my brows which stained my skin. If you've gotten your eyebrows tinted before you know the stuff is not easy to get off and can take several days. When I told her it would stain my skin she said it would come off with alcohol and tried wiping it off for me, of course nothing happened but she acted like it helped.
Please, please! Only say you can do something if you actually can, I would've had no issue if they owned up to it but they did not.
Good experience in the salon, but my gel nails lasted exactly one week before they started peeling. Went in to get them redone and they were really busy (not their fault) but now I need to pay someone else to take it off so I don't destroy my nails.
