I travel from the city to get my nails done with Jen at Nick & Van. Everyone there is very nice. It's clean and everyone is very focused. If you want a fun design, I highly recommend Jen but you need to reserve her month in advance minimum because shes booked and busy! If you're going for a regular manicure, everyone there does a great job and absolutely worth the price compared to the city. I get UV gel and they last me 4-5 weeks with very minimal chipping (to my own fault since I am always on my nails everyday) by the 4th week.
I have heard about Nick & Vans for a while. Several of my friends have gone. They had me follow Jen, who is a manicurist there, on Instagram. Jen does amazing artwork. While I liked the place I have been going to for a long time, I truly missed the artwork I would get all the time when I lived in San Jose, CA. So I decided on a lark to call to get an appointment. I was given an appt time by the owner who was scheduled to do my nails. He called me to let me know he was done earlier with a client and if I wanted I could come earlier. Of course I took him up on his offer.
I was so pleasantly surprised by the covid precautions they were taking and the place was spotless.
They had all kinds of products to choose from which was fantastic.
The owner look one look at my nails that have acrylic on them and he said you bite your nails right? He was 100% correct. I loved how gentle he was while filing my nails. There is a mandatory nominal fee which he brought to my attention before he began that they give you a bag of filing products so that you have your own each time you return. While my other nail place as clean I can't be sure they cleaned the files between each customer so in the respect Nick & Van Nails have taken every aspect of possible covid spread and made sure to protect it customers. I have to say they now have a new customer! Loved the artwork too!
i have five years going here, first they didnt want to take my call, so i thought maybe the number changed, i went to the store to make an appointment, i always go with vin. they’ve had many nail tech that dont do a good job, some are lazy and rude, jen and vin are the only ones who are good, i tried to make a future appointment today i was turned away because vin said he doesnt accept anyone anymore, as he was with another person. This place was so amazing , i literally was taking my whole family there and it has lost its way. We will all now be Finding a new place.

Ben is the absolute best. My nails are always perfect.
Amazing choice of colors.
Nick and Vans is a beautiful place. I would say Van is an artist with his skill and technique. His designs are incredible from flames to a unique french manicure and amazing animal prints. The spa pedicures are incredible and the girls always do perfect work!
I hate it how they treat it me on the phone today. Cause I didn’t show up on a Saturday for a a private matter that I didn’t goo. But they care about more money than anything else I have been going there for years and this is how you treating me. By telling me that Ben doesn’t want to do my nails and to go somewhere else. Plus this is not the first time they either put me for a different day then the day I call for that was another time. If you understand where I coming from then they will fix it keep me as a costumer but they didn’t so never going back to them. It’s so sad cause I loved how they did my nails.
