Clean and spacious nail salon. However, my powder gel nails started chipping a few days after. It's only been one week and this should last at least two considering the upcharge for prefer gel. This was the first time going there so I'm going to try a few more times to determine if it's a reoccurring situation or an isolated incident.

Johana is the best in the business! It took me so long to find someone who if perfect at what that they do, and I am so grateful to have found Johana! Not only is she the sweetest, but she is so professional, shows attention to detail, and she takes her time with everything she does to make sure your nails are perfect. So happy to have found my forever nail salon!

Love my Johana and her shop! Easily accessible; right in the heart of New City. I always feel welcomed; have a good time when I’m there w/ lots of laughs with her and her gals, but most importantly I leave with the most beautiful nails, exactly the way I want them! The ladies are all talented with the latest techniques and most impressive nail art!

Johana always goes above and beyond to make my nails look amazing! I bring her pictures of what I want and she makes them look even better than the picture. She adds her own ideas and gives them a special touch. My pedicures are always relaxing and well done. I leave the nail place and immediately get compliments! I recommend for everyone to get their nails done at Nails by Johana!

AMAZING nail salon. Not your typical nail place. The ladies are soooo nice and accommodating. They did a fabulous job on my gel with a marble/gold leaf design. They also shaped my nails and tended to my cuticles better than anyone has. They also didn’t rush which I really appreciate. This will definitely be my go to spot!!

I booked an appointment here over my regular salon because I kept getting Instagram ads and it looked like they did beautiful designs, which they do! However, I arrived at my appointment on time at 11:30 for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I wasn’t taken for my pedicure until 12:15- my pedicure took an hour and 15 minutes for a regular pedi with no add ons. Literally the longest regular pedicure of my life! Not to mention, the girl cut my toe and I was bleeding and then continued to go back in to cut more. I had to ask her to stop because I didn’t want any more cuts on my feet. I also did not see them change the plastic lining in the pedicure sinks between customers. Ew. Then I waited for my gel mani. I have to say Johanna was knowledgeable about what needed to be done to my nails to get a chrome manicure. However, the girl that was doing my nails kept getting up and walking away during the manicure, making me wait longer for it to be finished (she would file my nails, then leave, cut my nails, then leave). I’m not overly impressed with the shaping of my nails, but I will survive as they will grow back. I ended up not leaving from my 11:30 am appointment until 2:45pm. It just seemed like they over booked themselves; however, the customers that seemed to be regulars and known on a first name basis were in and out. Honestly, I wouldn’t go back because I just don’t have 3+ hours in my day to wait around at a nail salon, plus it didn’t seem too clean. It wasn’t a friendly environment and definitely over priced. So far it’s been 5 days and my nails have lasted, but I still wouldn’t recommend this place.
