Went to nail bar this morning for the first time to get my nails done for vacation. I’m very happy with the work that was done. I will say that I asked for a nude/clear base and was clear that I didn’t want it to look pink. She assured me it would be clear but it looks pink to me. I love the way they turned out nonetheless. Didn’t get my nail techs name. I would definitely recommend this place as it was the first time I’ve actually been happy with getting my nails done anywhere in Reno.
Staff is really nice and pleasant! I liked my pedicure but my nails were a little disappointing. My nails were not prepped and my cuticles needed tlc. After a week it looked like it had been months… I neglected my self care having two full time jobs. I was excited to finally be able to make a nail appointment. I didn’t want to make a fuss because I’m always uncomfortable being rude or pointed over my nails. I’m probably not going back after my last appointment.
Bummed I had such a terrible experience, considering this place has a sign right next to their entrance saying they were awarded as the #1 nail salon in Reno. I came down from Truckee to get gel nails done because everywhere else up there was booked for the day and I couldn't bear waiting another day with my peeling gel polish. I called ahead and made an appointment for 4:45 pm same day and arrived on time. I kid you not, I waited an hour until my nail tech was ready for me. There were two people that came in after me and were helped by other technicians and LEFT before i even got seated. Any other places I've been to get my nails done, people were served in the order they arrived/appointment time - and by whoever finished with their client fastest would take the next person waiting. i still tried to keep an open mind and not be as irritated as I am now, by browsing their large array of colors for a nail art design I had in mind. Once the technician got me, I showed her what I wanted done and she said she could do it (she couldn't). Instead it was a bit of a modified look with only one design on two fingers on each hand. When I left... i didnt realize this was painted as though by a child. Hell, id do this better with my.left hand. i was also thoroughly disappointed she only did one coat of each color. Towards closing time at 7 she started to rush, and didn't file off the gel that got on my cuticles and fingers. i had gel stuck on my hands for a few days until it peeled off. If I wasn't from out of town and didn't notice the mistakes made before i walked out their door, i would have come back to say something or get it fixed. However, it was too late. Please be mindful when you decide to book with these guys, hopefully no one will ever have to have such a horrible experience like I did. Giving 2 stars because their atmosphere was really cute and seemed tidy. They had a nice big selection for colors. Service was terrible.
I finally found my go to nail spot!
Anne was MORE than accommodating with fitting me in for appointment this morning - nails were in desperate need of a tune up! Becky did my nails and was so friendly and fun to chat with, not to mention my nails look amazing!! Already booked my next appointment, can’t wait! ????
Anne, owns a total gem of a nail salon, both aesthetically pleasing and immaculate. The salon offers many cutting edge techniques and products. She is always on time and exceeds my expectations every single time. Book an appointment now, she fills up quickly (for good reason) and is highly sought after. I love this salon and I love what she offers to her clients. I found such an amazing place to treat myself too and I’ll go as long as she will have me. This salon is definitely a step above the rest.
Nail Bar is my favorite place place to get my nails done! I always get hard gel manicures and I’ve never had a nail break or lift. Also I get such cute nail art design from Annie and Becky! Definitely make this your go to nail place in Reno!
Loved getting my nails done here! I did both a mani and pedi and loved the ladies here who were both talented and kind. The owner did my manicure and she is super nice and you can tell that she is really passionate about what she does.
Nail Bar is the best nail
salon in town. Anne is such an artist and the other women who work there also do beautiful work. Do not hesitate to book an appt. You won’t regret it.
