Had gel manicure and pedicure. Manicured gels on five fingers peeled off in less than a week; a few were off in days. Every time I go, it is a different price for the exact same service. When I go to the register to check out, one person says $90 and another says $75, but while getting the gel mani and pedi, the tech tech tells me it is $50. They did redo the five nails, only to have one peel off the same day. Not going back!
As a customer that lives in the area and received services in the past, I am annoyed beyond belief. I made an appointment ahead of time due to the holiday tomorrow. I arrived early for the appointment and waited. A woman and her grandchild were walk-ins so did not make an appointment. The manager or owner of the salon took them first even though I said I had an appointment and the woman with her grandchild told the manager the same.
I walked out because I refuse to give them a dime now or in the future. What is the sense of making an appointment and coming early if they are not going to take you anyway? I do not want to play the race card however if you are a customer that happens to be black I would be mindful.
I would give no stars.
EXCELLENT! I have been going here for years. It is always clean, the service is fabulous and my feet and nails look and feel great! Never a "mishap" leaving with bleeding cuticles. The staff is friendly and welcoming.
Today was Worst nail experience of my life. Some inexperience new woman who clearly doesn’t know how to do nails. She repeatedly cut my finger and squirted glue ALL over my hand. Then proceeded to stick her hand to mine and rip it off when she realized. She then proceeded for use the same tool she cut me with on the rest of my fingers, didn’t even clean the glue off my hands but cleaned her own. Did not sanitize or swap tools. I also showed her an EXACT coffin French tip look I wanted and she chopped my nails short and uneven and then squared and rounded them?? About 5 people were looking at her shaking their head. She kept laughing and rolling her eyes while I was in pain. My 2 fingers are currently red and inflamed. Someone else took over who was wonderful, but the fact that I was charged $60 for a listed $45 service AFTER that happened is disgusting and I will never return ever again, clearly they have uncertified techs working there.
I've visited this nail spa twice for a pedicure and while the pedicure was fine, the service is truly terrible. Both times I had an appointment and waited over 40 minutes... I think they just say yes to appointments but it means nothing. Then, the first time they said "what kind of pedicure" I said "the most basic pedicure" - which according to their menu is $30. She ended up giving me a $40 pedicure which was very nice and while I thought the price change was a little odd, it was a really good pedicure. So, I go today and I say I want the "spa pedicure" (the $40 offering). They say oh it has different choices mango, lavender blah blah, I said lavender. I go to check out and she charges me $50!! Now, I'm annoyed and I clearly say I said "spa pedicure, the menu says $40" - they would not budge on the price. I spent over 2 hours there between the wait and the pedicure and frankly found the experience truly just dishonest. I asked to speak to the manager, which did not happen; she kept saying "we have different levels of pedicures" and I said yes, that's why I said "spa pedicure" - the menu literally says spa pedicure $40; I pointed to it repeatedly. Really just a terrible experience and will never be back. Just dishonest.
I can always depend on NY Nails to do a wonderful job! My pedicure and manicure today were wonderful! I had not been in a while and I feel like a new person! Their callous treatment is the best no pain but very smooth. The technicians work so hard at making everything perfect and the neck massage at the end was marvelous! Thank you!
Vicki from New York nails is somebody that I have been using for a manicure and pedicure and also a massage for over 3 years.
She is so sweet and kind and takes her time caring about everything she does. I have now moved away but still travel in order to see her and receive the services offered. She does a great job.
And when she's busy, other people have done my nails and they are just as good. The service is great the place is clean and the prices are right on!
This place is great. I love the temperature checks and being safe. I came in because I had tips prior from another salon and they all tore off. My nails were in pain and in terrible shape. They were able to make them look beautiful and feel good again I'm so happy with the work. And let's not forget the xtra 15 min massage, complete heaven. The only reason I gave a four was due to the fact that their color selection for gel is very minimal compared to most nails salons. Other then that this salon is great would love to try a pedicure one day
