We took our boys here, 2 & 4, had such an amazing experience, even when our lil man was screaming and fighting.. Wonderful work and service, will definitely be coming back ????
Really like Monkey Dooz & Zebra they do great in hair cuts and color, specially they do good with little kids hair cuts.
Super friendly staff. My son first hair cut he cried the entire time and the gal that cut his hair did an amazing job and was super patient. I also loved the fact that when my husband took him back to get his 2nd hair cut she remembered him by name. That is pretty awesome.
Always a great haircut and they work super fast! We always go here when in the Yakima area.
Took both my son's in to get their haircut... Neither of them are a fan of getting their haircut but our stylist made it super easy and for that we are grateful! ❤️
Definitely recommend. ❤️
I brought my son here for his first hair cut. Not sure the name of the person who did it, but it came out much better than I expected considering my son screamed and writhed the entire time. She also saved me his little lock of hair from his first cut in an envelope, which was nice. I was not, however, impressed with the attitude. I specifically stated when I called to make the appointment that I was bringing in a 1 year old who was afraid of strangers for his first cut and he would probably make a fuss. We arrived 2 minutes late, because 1 year olds are unpredictable sometimes and he needed a last minute change. I didn't appreciate spending 3 minutes being chewed out for being 2 minutes late, and then told I had only 10 minutes to get the cut because she schedules every 15 minutes. That doesn't seem realistic with kids in general, but especially knowing our situation (age/fear/first cut). She was patient with his wiggling and crying which I appreciated, but she had a definite vibe that she didn't care to be there. The stylist also smelled like cigarette smoke. My son is allergic to cigarette smoke, and it didn't occur to me to ask if a CHILDREN'S salon would be smoke free. This is probably something that should be disclosed at least on the site or with a sign on the door or something as many children can struggle with exposure even without an allergy. I was happy with the cut over all and might try going back and seeing if the attitude/mood improved on a different day if not for this, but I can't risk the exposure to the smoke.
The lady that did my son hair she was very good with my 2 year old son she was really patient i would highly recommend them. Thank you for the wonderful cut
Traci did a great job in cutting my hair exactly the way I wanted it!! I decided to cut some inches off and go for a bob style and I'm glad I did it. Did a basic bob then went back to get the back shorter and she stikk did an amazing job. She is friendly, easy to talk to and does a good job! Will be going back to her ????????

Quick Facts About Monkey Dooz

Monkey Dooz place has several strengths based on the comments provided. Firstly, the salon is praised for its amazing customer service. The staff is described as friendly, patient, and accommodating. They work well with children, even when they are crying or afraid, and make the hair cutting experience a positive one. This is evident in the comment about the stylist remembering a child by name on their second haircut, indicating that they prioritize building relationships with their clients.
Another strength mentioned is the quality of the haircuts. Multiple comments highlight the great job that Monkey Dooz place does in cutting and styling hair, especially for children. They are commended for their skills with little kids' haircuts and their ability to work fast without compromising on the quality. The salon is also recommended for their expertise in color and cutting techniques, as seen in the comment about Traci cutting the hair exactly how the customer wanted it.
The salon is also praised for its ability to handle difficult situations. In one comment, it is mentioned that the stylist was patient and understanding when dealing with a 1-year-old who was afraid of strangers and made a fuss during the haircut. The stylist's ability to handle wiggling and crying children is highly appreciated by the customers.
In terms of weaknesses, one comment expresses dissatisfaction with the attitude of a particular stylist. The customer felt that they were scolded for being 2 minutes late and were given a limited time for the haircut, despite mentioning beforehand that their child was afraid of strangers and likely to make a fuss. This indicates a lack of understanding and empathy from the stylist, which negatively impacted the overall experience for the customer. Additionally, the stylist's cigarette smoke odor was a concern for the customer, especially considering that their son is allergic to cigarette smoke. It is suggested that the salon should disclose if it is smoke-free as many children may struggle with exposure.
Overall, Monkey Dooz place seems to have several strengths, including excellent customer service, skillful haircuts, and the ability to handle difficult situations. However, they should address the issue of attitude and communicate any potential allergens or odors to customers for a more inclusive and satisfactory experience.
