When ever I'm in the town I have to go in, large range of everything, all tastes like it did years ago, there nut brittle is the best ever, I know have to get my friend's some to take back with me home!!???? The girl's who have served me have Alway been very helpful and friendly keep it up and please don't run out of the brittle!!!????
Disgusting customer service. Rude older woman shop worker.
We didn't realise we weren't able to take the dog in - no signs outside, not made clear, we entered the shop where another staff member passed us after a few minutues and kindly acknowledged us, at this point I thought it was OK. As if we were asked to leave we would have apologised and left. We were looking around the shop and the older woman shop assistant said in the rudest way "um no dogs allowed" to the point where the whole shop could he's as she decided to shout it out to the room, no sorry for the inconvenience or anything. Honestly the way she said it and looked at us and shouted across the shop my partner and I felt really embarrassed. We apologised and instantly left. Whilst walking up the road I was so upset and annoyed by the way this woman came across to us I had to walk back just to check if it was made clear outside and I had missed the sign. Nothing was noted outside the shop. I went back in and explained to the woman that we did not see any signs and we didn't realise. To which she responded "well normally people ask!!" I explained that when we came in we couldn't see any staff instantly there to ask and eventually the one we did see acknowledged us and didn't express any concerns re the dog. I explained to her that the way she spoke to me and my parter and continuing to speak to us was really rude and upsetting. To which she then decided to involve other customers to ask their opinion on what they thought which I thought was very very unprofessional and also it was clear to see the customers felt awkward and didn't know what to say when she asked them. Personally I felt this was unnecessary and was even more embarrassing for myself and other customers.
I have never been made to feel like this before. Obviously we understand dogs are not allowed in certain shops and if it was made clear we would 100% understand and not even attempt to take the dog in. Even if the lady had approached us face to face in a nicer friendlier manner explaining then this would have been fine, not shout rudely to us, I actually felt disgusted and mortified leaving this place and the way I was made to feel.
We were going to purchase several items from the shop but obviously we did not in the end due to the woman's rude behaviour.
Don’t come here !! the older woman (which im also guessing is the owner) was INCREDIBLY rude. Its also overpriced in there and they don’t have fair prices and tried to scam me. The older woman is so inconsiderate and by others reviews clearly doesn’t like children (which is odd, you’re working in a SWEETS shop) and shames everybody and makes a massive deal in front of customers. Thought the younger lady working there today was extremely nice and didn’t make a fuss of anything, she was so lovely. But please DONT come here. Im going to make a phone call and complain about the customer service. I never had a problem until today. NOT happy.
It's a very nice friendly little sweet store, the ladies that work there are always very nice and good to have small talk with, they've got a wide mix of sweets and American stuff. Well worth it.
Great selection but was shocked at the till when hit with the price of just a few sweets. More expensive than it first appears, beware!!!
One of the shop assistants was incredibly rude whilst I was trying to purchase sweets with my children. Asked me to leave the shop as there were too many in the shop and leave my 8 year old to pay on her own. If you can't speak to members of the public correctly, don't work in a shop.
Brill place for the kids. The selection of sweets and American drinks are spectacular. Good selection and offers and the price is not too bad on some stuff and great on others. Staff are always pleasant and helpful. Does get very busy though but still a good place to buy sweets. Not far to pop in from the sea front.
Unbelievably rude to someone before me for no reason then rude to me for not having the right change. Just poor. Wow I hope you are proud of yourself.
My advice is the same as I said to you today, charm school September intake is coming soon make sure you enroll.
Sad really, great shop except for presumably the owner.
