My experience was incredible. They were so kind, the food was exquisite and the service was extremely quick. I order two plates and I ended full. I felt absolutely comfortable. Just warn you that they do not accept paying with card so you must go with cash. The prize was also worth it. £15 for these two plates.
So happy to see a Korean restaurant in Nottingham.
Extensive menu, they even have very reasonably priced sushi.
The Korean chicken is delicious but I didn't particularly like my main, which was a beef brisket broth with glass noodles as the beef wasn't the best and the flavour was just spice. I Will definitely go back though as I want to try many more things on the menu, I think I just chose the wrong thing for me.
I love the art deco decor but the toilet needs updating desperately. Staff were friendly but could have been more attentive and helpful.
Also I saw the next table had teriyaki chicken and that looked yum!
Update: I went a second time and had sushi, gyoza and teriyaki chicken. See pics below.
I enjoyed all dishes my only complaint was that it was really cold in the restaurant during lunchtime hours.
Had a really great experience. Food was delicious, everything was fresh, fried chicken came out piping hot, and nothing took long to come out. Both members of staff were super attentive, came multiple times to ask how things were and to change the paper on the grill, overall a great place, will definitely return!
Been here once last weekend and wonder why the restaurant has been rated only 3.6 ?? ????
Food is very nice, but considered as abit sweet to someone who doesnt like sweet marinated BBQ but I dont mind, I like it. Kimchi hotpot is nice.
All the portion is big and cheap compared with the price.
Staff is nice and friendly. I will come back one day.
Highly recommended !
Spectacular food, wonderful waitresses and such personal service that they even gave me a hand drawn birthday card at the end of my meal. Don't expect to be bothered at your table, just wave someone down if you need anything and it will be seen to in record time. My new favourite restaurant.
Bad food and terrible service from the two Asian waitress (no communication, no smile, nothing). The Yuk Hwae was disgusting and tasted extremely strange (from someone who actually loves beef tartare & Korean raw beef!!). It was unauthentic, no where close to what I’ve tasted in Korea. It was not defrosted properly and overly sweeten. I could literally taste ice and sugar granules in every bite. It was like having a dessert but in a raw beef form. Very odd. Would definitely not recommend.
Lovely ambiance that gets busy in the evening.
The menu contains a great selection of classic korean dishes which tastes comforting.
However, service was slow. Despite the staff being polite, they just seemed inexperienced and confused.
We were seated as soon as we got in but it took a while to get the menu and to be served water which they forgot we asked for. Though we tried to double check our order, it was a little bit challenging due to a language barrier. This resulted to a mix up and getting some dishes wrong. We brought this to their attention but waited over 30mins for our original order.
Overall, food is amazing but service isn’t great.
It was a lovely dinner experience.
We’ve ordered some marinated spicy chicken and some beef marinated in soy sauce (£9 each). We have chosen two bowls of steak rice, the spinach and the kimchi to go with our barbecue. It was so tasty!
For starter we have had the delicious crispy chicken gyoza (£5.50). I love my gyozas crispy so to me, it was perfection.
Because it was our first time at the restaurant, the manager was nice enough to explain us how it works, which was very professional and friendly of him.
I will definitely go back !
Oh and yes, the prices are reasonable for the quality of food you’ve got.
