My wife and I wanted to try something different when we went out for dinner on Saturday night and this place didn't disappoint.
The staff were lovely.
The food was delicious.
The decor and music was traditional Bulgarian.
Good pricing on the food too.
We only stayed for food but next time we go back we would like to say for Entertainment, traditional singing and dancing
Went in as a couple around 4pm, we were the only people sitting inside even after we left. Reasonable prices, generous portions though. Meat cooked well and we were able to take away what we couldn't eat. Friendly service, no problems at all. The design of the restaurant is very authentic I felt like I was in Plovdiv again ????
Polite, friendly and quick service. Very good food options, tasty meals and fairly priced.
We had an amazing time, the friendly staff make that happen. With great hospitality and delicious food. We were a mixed group of English and Bulgarian friends, and we both returned to The old house restaurant as they continued to keep a good standard of hygiene and delicious food and authentic live music.
Thank you to make this special occasion even more special.
If I could I would give more than 5 stars. The food was amazing as expected, arrived hot and quick. The food was well worth the price. The girl singing late at night sounded incredible. I would definitely travel an hour again to visit.
Good restaurant especially if you like Bulgarian cuisine. It is really spacious inside. it is a lot of fun to visit not only for the food ,but for the great night out. After certain hour it becomes almost like a nightclub ,but with food :)) It's amazing
This has to be the best resturant I have ever atteneded. Me and the wife loved it Waayy just ma cup of tea bosh. The atmosphere is great, they have a orchestra on saturday with insurments I don't even know the names of! Honest to go a fantasic resturant with one of the nicest owners I've ever met, this place could easily rival places like mcdonalds, kfc and even Los Pollos Hermanos
Traditional at its core this Bulgarian restaurant transports the customer to the fringes of Eastern Europe with its hospitality and themed interior.
Being a foreigner to its plethora of dishes I wished the menu came with pictures to make my selection easier. If you do go for a main be sure to go for the sizzling satch. It’s served smoking hot, a meat dish for 2 persons, with a selection of veggies and cheese topping this hearty dish. All food was freshly prepared, but lacked attention to detail.
Value, Mehana offers in spades and portion size will suit anyone with a big appetite.
