After going a number times from my last review....Nice place and Very Pricey. Don't like it when they pass you off to another braider, When you are suppose to see a particular braider. The owner in the 1st chair by the door is good and the only one that doesn't braid extremely tight, Her sister in the second chair has a terrible attitude. If you can't get the 1st chair, don't bother. I never paid attention to the other comments. They all braid extremely tight. If you love tight braids Maty African Hair braiding is your place.
A bit pricey but great service. In and out 2 hours tops. I've been getting compliments all day. Thank you Nay.
Love my hair. Professional kind individuals. Love those sisters make you wanna come back. I will recommend anyone thier for any braid type style.
They do extremely beautiful braiding and the braids are not tight at all. I had my hair done in knotless braids and my daughter’s hair in a kid friendly hairstyle, she was very happy. The one negative aspect about this establishment is that customers set appointments and then they cancel which is completely an inconvenience for travelers coming by train from a long distance and even by car. Instead of tracking their appointments in a book with contact information, they just tell them that once they arrive at the salon. I sat in the salon and heard one of the Hair Stylist made an appointment with a customer for the customer to return at the given time that afternoon for her to cancel because she did not come in. This is bad for business.
My hair was professionally done. Everyone loved my hair. I love it most of all and The stylist was friendly and professional. The place is clean, cool and they follow safety protocols for social distancing. I highly recommend Maty Hair Braiding for any style. The price and time is worth it.

I've been going to this hairbraiding salon for at least a decade. The hairstyles are always neat, trendy and stylish. The two sisters ( N'deye & Nabu) and the other members of the shop never disappoint. First come, first serve so beware of that. Stop in early!
Always go here for my braids! Great braiding techniques, fast braiders and they always get the look I’m going for.
