After reading good reviews here we thought we would try this place , felt a little unloved , and very dated not in a good way either . Food was ok £12 for a medium haddock and chips eating in restaurant,well cooked and didn’t have to wait too long .
Service was good , sadly toilets let this place , tatty and felt unclean , mouldy ceiling .
Marinos is our go-to fish & chip restaurant during our regular stays in Bexhill. The food is always absolutely excellent and huge in quantity and the service is always lovely and cheerful.
BUT…!
Today we were not allowed a glass of tap water with our meal. We had to buy a very expensive £1.80 small bottle of water instead. Now we prefer tap water to bottled and I can’t remember the last time we were refused tap water in any restaurant of any kind; it must have been at least 20 years ago! So that is a big minus in my review.
So thank you again Marinos for fantastic fish and chips, but a big no-no and minus one star for the water.
Very nice food. Quite a long wait. We'll presented in cardboard boxes. Shop looks a bit tired.. new floor required! Nice touch was taking my name when placing my order at the counter for a takeaway, so they could ask whether I wanted salt & vinegar etc, when it was ready
Must be one of the best fish and chip shops in the country. Chips always crisp and the fish is cooked to order. This means the cod is alway perfect. Bravo!

The zenith of Fish and Chips! So happy to have discovered Marinos- it is the PLAICE to visit if you can get to Bexhill. We've all had great fish and chips in our time, but seriously these are different class. I love Marinos.
Best fish n chips in Bexhill and post covid you can once more dine in. Good tea in a pot and everything. Decore is basic but keot vlean. Its the food that makes this place great.
