The owner older lady is pretty rude and doesn’t respect what the client wants, if you try to ask god what you want specifically she’ll give you an attitude!!
I took my mom there to get her hair done and didn’t even complete the braids and sent her home looking crazy. Was on the phone the whole time making more appointments with other people and rushed my mom out the door with INCOMPLETE hair work. Disgusting.
Don’t even waste your time. She charges low because her work is trashy. My mom ended up taking the braids off 2 days later due to discomfort.
The owner is beyond rude and disrespectful. I was still going to give her a chance even though only a joke of a stylist would ask me to really bring my own hair for an extensions appointment instead of ordering them through her lol. But after calling her 3 hours prior to the appointment to ask her if I could not only pay a deposit in order hair through her to book in the future since today could not work out but at least come in for my appointment and just get a trim and my clip on extensions installed I cannot get in touch. Mariama decided to call me back at 10:20 when my appointment was at 11 with a very nasty attitude. As soon as I mentioned that I’m ash blonde and was having trouble finding extensions to match because of this her tone became hostile and she even hung up on me. I’m so happy this demon showed her horns before I was in her chair, energy transfers even through hair.
Not too customer friendly on the phone, every question resulted in You would have to come by shop so I can see it...Ummmm definitely passed on this one
She is amazing. She does great work and in a timely fashion. I've been two times and both times I've left super happy.
Update: I have been going here for 3 years and still get amazing braids every single time. While it might be uncomfortable the first day after getting braids, it is so worth it since it just means the braids are tight and they last a minimum of 2 months each time I go.
She was in the phone almost the entire 6 hrs i was there. She gave me a length that was way longer then i asked for, messed up my parts, and gave me and attitude when i was trying to ask for what i’d like. Very disappointed I took them out two days later because i couldn’t manage the uncomfort

I came in with my daughter to get her braids! Her parting was garbage, she is unprofessional, the dirty and she uses CVS products..... got mad because I told her to go a lil smaller with the braids. She speaks English but chose to speak to her friend the whole time in adofferent language. Don't waist your time. I thought going to an ethnic shop with our own people would of been a good experience. Not one bit.
I'm not sure why there are negative reviews. But I had a very good experience getting my box braids done here today. My stylist was very friendly. She also gave me a great price. She said that I was welcome to come back anytime. I had a very simple design it turned out great.
