I went to get large knotless braids. I have a undercut so I thought that it wouldn’t take any longer than four /5 hours I got there at 9:30 which was the time she told me to come.they didn’t get started in till 10 AM. the young lady did one braid and then went to attend to her baby. Then she did a bout maybe 15 to 20 braids. the mother who runs the shop came over looked at the braids said some thing and then she started on my head and a young lady came and took all of the 20 braids that the young lady with the baby just put in . I asked for a side part I got a middle part I paid $180 and I don’t think the length is worth the 180 on top of them starting 30 minutes late and taking out at least 20 braids and having to redo them . If the young lady with the baby cannot braid hair they should not have her in the shop that wasted at least another hour or two of my time. I told them to leave my edges out so you will see that on the photo. On top of that I feel like my hair looks like a teenage kid did it it is not neat for it to be African braiding it’s big the parts are too big I forgot to mention that they used pump it up spritz on my braids, maybe that’s something new but I didn’t want sticky hard braids. I would not recommend!
This African hair braiding shop is one of the very best! The braiders are talented, they’re knowledgeable of all of the trendy styles, & very neat. My daughter & I have gone here at least 6xs each. Never disappointed! Even if you are, the owner is sure to make it right.
Prices: Prices are fair per our current economy crisis. They have bills just like us & really double bills (business & home), products are high, & so are utilities. Ask for the styles that you can afford.
Cleanliness: I rate cleanliness 3/5 stars, but whose ever seen a spotless hair salon? Not me. It smells nice & all of their braiding utensils are sanitized after each customer.
Entertainment: There are always people coming in to sell things (sometimes really good things), charging ports for phones, & they play dope African movies or sometimes good American music.
Pain level: They do braid tight, but sure they’d be less harsh if you tell them you have a low tolerance for pain. Wash your hair the day before braids (or sooner), take 2 pain relievers before they start on your hair, & keep yourself distracted w/ snacks & screen time.

M&D hair braiding is the best place I ever went to I recommend you go there td or tmr if you can,the hair lasts for so long and the workers are amazing and you can have great conversations!!
They do Great work here I come here all the time come see then they do quality work I'm always happy when I come and get my hair done here
Don’t go here they are money hungry and barley know what their doing ask for something simple & they couldn’t even do that right
They did not finish my hair properly, I had a lot of access hair just hanging,, 180 for my butterfly locs looks like a teenager did it, I will not recommend this place to no one at all & I respectfully ask for one of the stylist to put on a mask after sniffing and sneezing they did not do so..
The lady who done my husband's hair did an excellent job! However the establishment doesn't look anything like the picture. Both ladies were awesome and if they can't answer the phone they will call you right back! Easy to get an appointment
I have no complaints, M&D were both very gracious and aimed to please. My hair turned out gorgeous and my head does not hurt. Was Done in 3hrs with no wait as a walk in... 1st time here and will be back!
