Very unprofessional service here the owner (Lydia) was very rude ! ...I had an appointment with the owner (Lydia) at 9am I arrived early for my appointment and she made me wait 2 hours after my appointment for her to not even do my hair because she got mad that I asked her how much longer I had to wait to get my hair started on...simply because she started doing 2 other ladies hair that walked in after me ... She started attending them within the 5 minutes when they walked in, so I went to ask her again how much longer I had to wait since I had an appointment and I was waiting there before the other people showed up....she continued to give me and attitude and told me if I didn't have time to wait to leave......mind you she was taking way longer because she was gossiping the whole time because a guy customer went in there and took her some sweet bread so she was talking about how guys take her stuff to get with her... horrible experience here definitely do not recommend very rude service and unprofessional
This is Adeline’s work. I was disappointed that after 4 yrs of not touching my hair with any chemical this is what I got. My hair look like I did it myself and now I understand why she blow dry it and then make it curly ????????‍♀️. This uneven hair cut and horrible hair color cost me $180.
She’s friendly but has zero pride on her work.
A very hostile and unfriendly environment for people of my race. There is a very emotionally disconnected male barber here who is in fact the only male barber here. He has rudely refused to cut my hair twice. They gave me and my son a very bad haircut and made us pay more than other customers. Please, can someone advice this male barber to place a notice stating that races other than his are not welcome here. I hate nonsense
I go to get a fade from the female barber ???? Alejandra she's definitely good and really pretty
I’ve gone to them 3 times and they do not receive walk-ins well. They took my allergies as a sign I had Covid and they didn’t refuse to serve me they just talked about me like I wasn’t there. Clearly they didn’t believe I had allergies and didn’t want to serve me so I left. It was highly irresponsible of them. I asked them if they wanted me to wear a mask and they said no but they still spoke about me as if I wasn’t in the room!!! I will not patronize this establishment again unfortunately for them because I always tipped them well and appreciated their skill set but no has to be rude to me period!
Complete bad service! We got kicked out because my friend simply asked the barber to clean the clippers correctly because he can still see the hair from the previous customer on it. He didn't ask for perfection but even I would've been grossed out allowing the barber to cut my hair with the clippers being that dirty. Completely rude and unprofessional. Don't go here if you appreciate quality service!
Terrible. Do not recommend. All barbers talk way too much and get distracted easily. They’ve left my hair terrible a couple of times but I decided to give them one more chance. I ended up getting a haircut from a young barber, worst haircut I’ve ever received. He finished in under 5 minutes and got me surprised. You’re basically paying for them to mess up your hair. When I got home I noticed my hair was messed up in every way possible. Never going back there again they need more training.
Google shows that they are open at 9am called to make an appointment they told me you can’t make an appointment just show up and when I get there they are closed until 10:30am.

Quick Facts About Lydia's Hair Design

Lydia's Hair Design place has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. It is important to note that these comments represent the experiences of individual customers and may not reflect the overall quality of the salon. However, they do provide valuable insights into areas where improvements may be needed.
Starting with the strengths, one customer mentioned that Alejandra, a female barber, is good at giving fades and is also described as being pretty. This indicates that there are talented and skilled barbers at Lydia's Hair Design place. Positive feedback about specific staff members can contribute to the salon's reputation and attract new customers.
Another strength mentioned was that the owner, Lydia, is friendly. Despite the negative experience mentioned by one customer, it is worth acknowledging that friendliness can create a positive atmosphere and make customers feel comfortable. Having a friendly owner often reflects positively on the salon's overall customer service.
Moving on to the weaknesses, the most frequently mentioned issue is unprofessionalism, including rude behavior and poor customer service. Multiple customers complained about rude and disrespectful treatment from both staff members and the owner. This consistent negative feedback suggests a lack of professionalism and poses a significant concern for Lydia's Hair Design place.
Another weakness highlighted in the comments is the quality of the services provided. Customers expressed disappointment with the haircuts and hair colors they received, pointing out uneven haircuts and unsatisfactory outcomes. This indicates that there may be a lack of attention to detail, skill, or expertise in hair styling techniques. Consistently poor outcomes can harm the salon's reputation and lead to a loss of clientele.
Additionally, there were complaints about the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the salon. One customer pointed out that the clippers were not cleaned properly, which is an important aspect of maintaining hygiene in a hair salon. This reflects negatively on the salon's professionalism and ability to provide a clean and safe environment for customers.
Furthermore, there were allegations of discrimination and racial bias. One customer claimed that there was a hostile and unfriendly environment for people of their race and that they were treated differently and charged more for the same services. Discrimination is a serious concern that can have legal consequences and damage the salon's reputation.
Lastly, there was a complaint regarding the salon's communication and opening hours. It was mentioned that Google showed an opening time of 9 am, but upon arrival, the salon was closed until 10:30 am. Inconsistent and misleading information regarding business hours can lead to customer frustration and a loss of trust.
In conclusion, based on the comments provided, Lydia's Hair Design place has both strengths and weaknesses. On the positive side, there are skilled staff members and a friendly owner. However, there are critical issues with professionalism, customer service, quality of service outcomes, cleanliness, and allegations of discrimination. These weaknesses need to be addressed to improve the salon's reputation and customer satisfaction.
